Before heading to Spain after our journey in Portugal, my wife and I spent a couple of days in Evora. While in Evora, we stayed at M'Ar De Ar Aqueduto. In contrast to the remains of the ancient aqueduct which still stands within a short walk, this hotel features smooth lines and modern appointments throughout, including the lobby and the rooms. The color palette is neutral and features shades of gray, black and white. The staff was friendly and accommodating with both check-in and check-out going very smoothly. We stayed in Room 106, which is on the ground floor and a short walk from the lobby. The room was comfortable, but simple with a comfortable bed and a spotlessly clean modern bathroom. The wood floors did add a bit of warmth to the room. The hotel includes a lovely outdoor landscape which includes a swimming pool with an ample amount of chaise lounges and towels for guests. The outdoor garden also offers great views of the nearby aqueduct. The hotel also has the DeGust’Ar Restaurant on site which is a great convenience for guests. M'Ar De Ar Aqueduto provided a comfortable “home” during my short stay in Evora.…
The hotel is amazing. We arrived after 10pm, were starving. The room service is just unbelievably nice and empathetic. They helped us with everything that we asked! Marcelo from the room service is just kind, attentive and very efficient! The facilities are fabulous, very modern, good quality building and engineering and beautifully decorated. The room is very comfortable and the bath area is excellent also. I strongly recommend M’Ar De Ar Aqueduto for everyone who cares about comfort, good vibes and relaxed staying! Now, after a good night rest, time to visit the exquisite city of Évora! Best wishes, Gabriella
We would stay here longer. Great room and bath with a walk out to the lawns of this quiet Hotel. Our only complaint was that seeking a nightcap after a delightful dinner we went to the upstairs bar. However the bartender ignored us while he flirted with a woman and that we felt was unprofessional.
Very nice hotel, but modernist design, which we don't like so much. Glass wall between bath tub and bedroom. The hotel is right against the medieval city wall and the aqueduct, both of which are visible from various locations in the hotel. The hotel is easy to access from outside the wall without having to negotiated the narrow lanes of the town, and has a good, easily accessible underground garage. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the center of the town.
conveniently located within evora's historic UNESCO walls, this facility is quiet, restful and presented in a decorative style. the rooms are spacious and offer views of the aqueduct and exterior pool. breakfasts, included in the room price, were filling.
"2nd floor - curtains very sheer and cheap quality and did not provide full coverage. Felt uncomfortable on 1st floor."Read full review
