My wife and I made our reservation on the strength of the favorable reviews that we read here at Trip Advisor. Where to start: we knew that parking was tight in Evora, but had read that this hotel had parking for guests. When we got there we were told that they had only 9 parking spaces and they were already...

We arrived Evora 4PM 4th October. Tried a couple of hotels before trying Santa Clara. Got good room for good price. Our room was in 2nd site (around corner from main part of hotel). Used hotel reserved street parking nearby. Staff good & helpful. Breakfast good. Free internet connection in breakfast room. 2 minutes walk up slightly steep hill to...

My wife and I were in Evora, Portugal (the entire inner walled city is a "World Heritage Site") for two nights -- September 23 and 24, 2008. We arrived in Evora at around 10 pm on the Tuesday evening, having spent the last 5 hours driving from Seville, Spain. We had no hotel reservation and no knowledge of Evora, but...

All you need in Evora is one night (or even just an afternoon if you are passing through). This hotel was a great value for our visit. It was walking distance to all the sights and the room was well proportioned (not huge, but not a shoebo) and clean. The older staff that worked during the day couldn't speak much...

Room was amazinglt clean and had enough storage space. Hotel looks quite new (was recently renovated). Breakfast was okay, nothing special, but not bad a t all. Found...

I stayed in this tourist hotel on a work trip with 4 other colleagues. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Both of their restaurant tips turned out excellent, for example. Rooms were smallish but of modern style and good quality. One of the rooms only had a window into a roofed atrium with an emergency staircase. No access to fresh...

We stayed at the Hotel Santa Clara In August. The rooms were clean and comfortable, not huge but not tiny either. Our room had a small balcony. Breakfasts were good and the whole family was able to choose something they liked. It is situated inside the city walls a 3 minute walk from the town square. All sites of interest...

This hotel is affiliated with Best Western (although locals don't know that, so don't ask them where the Best Western is) and by booking well in advance through BW, I was able to get a really good rate for July. The hotel was extremely difficult for us to find, especially in a rental car that we had rented only an...

We stayed for two nights at the Santa Clara and were very happy with our choice. The hotel is placed in a historic building in the heart of the old city just a two minutes walk away from the central square (Praca de Giraldo) and a just a couple of more minutes from the Roman temple. It is situated in...

This is a small hotel, very centrally located but on a small quite street, within walking distance from everything in town. The had a great service, free internet for guests, nice breakfast and clean rooms. I would stay there again!

“Parking is a problem. If you can drop your bags off and find a park then walk back to the hotel. You can do that in reverse when leaving. Evora is best explored on foot, you don't need a car. The streets are very narrow so there is plenty of opportunity for bumps and scrapes which if you have a rental car can be very expensive. It is best to w leave the car some distance away. Ignore the rating above for the swimming pool and spa, they are not relevant. I couldn't undo the ratings!”
