Lovely Hotel. Stayed for 10 nights in September 2023. Lovely hotel and staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was great and cleaners came in every day and done a brilliant job. The pool was lovely and the hotel has a buffet restaurant, which opens three times a day ( Breakfast, lunch & Dinner). There is also a snack bar next to the pool which is opened from 10.30am to 6.30pm, where you can order drinks and food through the day as well. There is also a bar, which opens in the evening. There also entertainment throughout the day for adults and children. And also mini discos for the kids at night. It was also my birthday while I stayed at the hotel. The holiday company ( that I went with) send a slice of chocolate cake along with a bottle of wine to my room and then when having my evening meal, the hotel also gave me a slice of chocolate cake. My only down side, is the hotel is a good half an hour to an hour away from other major towns and could costed up to 30 euros in a local taxi ( one way- so coming back another 30 euros, so possibly 60 euros for the whole trip) to go visit another town. That’s fine if your in a big group and can split the fare , but when it’s only 2 people that’s a lot of money.

Dear Claire, Thank you for your comments regarding your experience at Hotel Vila Galé Náutico, which deserved our best attention. Armação de Pêra is also a very pretty and typical Portuguese fishing village, and you can see the old part on foot along the promenade, Silves is also another town with a castle with Moorish culture. We sincerely hope to be able to count on your visit in the next opportunity. Yours sincerely. Nelson Ribeiro General Manager

We stayed at Vila Gale Nautico as a family of three during the last two weeks of the school summer holidays. We were warmly greeted by a young lady at the Reception Desk on arrival and was delighted to find out that our room was ready for us even though it was around midday. The lady on Reception gave us a map of the resort and told us some useful information. Prior to going on holiday, I had requested a quiet room which had been honoured. We were in Room 433, which was overlooking a little car park and the basketball/football court. It was south/west facing so had the sun all afternoon, through to sunset which we really appreciated. The room was spotlessly clean and adequate for our needs. The air con was very effective and we could control the temperature ourselves. Our 9 yr old son had a small, child bed which was fine. We had two singles pushed together. Maybe bedside tables with drawers would have been good in the room, or a chest of drawers. The wardrobe wasn’t really enough for our clothes but the mini fridge located inside it was useful (with bottles of water being replenished daily). I needed to go down to Reception to ask for more clothes hangers and within 10 minutes, there was a knock at the door, with a member of the housekeeping team bringing some more for us. The hotel is very close to the beach (less than 5 mins stroll) and a little further along, you’re in the resort of Armacao de Pera which we really liked. It’s not a large town like Albufeira but has plenty of shops, stalls, cafes, bars, restaurants etc. We had stayed in Albufeira last year and actually prefer Armacao de Pera as it has more character and ambiance. Mealtimes in the hotel were typical all inclusive buffet chaos (!) but the restaurant staff work hard to make sure everything is replenished promptly and the choice of food was adequate for us as a family. Our 9 year old son isn’t a fussy eater thankfully and enjoyed eating swordfish, sea bream, different stews, etc. There was always pizza, pasta, chips, breaded fish etc for children and I tried some of the dishes that were obviously aimed at the vegetarians and they were delicious. There was always two soup options and the salad bar had lots of fresh lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber etc with cous cous and lots of different salad dressings available. You are brought a large bottle of water when seated at your table and can also order other drinks too, which are brought to your table. Breakfast was nice with eggs made to order, cereal, pastries, fruit, yoghurts and yoghurt drinks. We used the Snack Bar a lot for lunchtime which offered burgers, toasties, salads, hot dogs, fries, etc. The guys in the Snack Bar seem to work non stop, serving drinks, food and ice creams constantly. The pool is gorgeous! Cold but very refreshing, very clear water and feels fine once you’re in. We never encountered any difficulty getting sun beds. There were loads of parasols and a very nice lady walks around all day, taking your empty cups, ice cream tubs etc and generally keeping the areas clean and tidy. Our son enjoyed going to the kids’ Mini Club to chill out , keep out of the sun and hang out with friends he’d made. The entertainment team who worked in the kids club were always lovely to the kids. Our son enjoyed painting a t shirt for €5 and watching cartoons even though they were in Portuguese! My son enjoyed playing basketball in the sports court too and there is also a trampoline. The hotel attracts guests of many different nationalities which we liked. The first week of our holiday, the hotel felt full to capacity but the hotel seemed to cope with this and whilst there might have been a bit of a queue at the bar on an evening, the bar staff worked as quick as they could. Our only issue on an evening was the uncomfortable seats outside. They’re ok for a quick drink, or even a meal, but if you’re sat in them for the night, we found them quite painful. There is a cushioned sofa with two matching arm chairs in the outside bar area, but naturally, they got occupied very quickly. All in all, we had a wonderful holiday and would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a relaxing, ‘lie by the pool’ type of holiday, with the option to spend days on a great beach close by. The Entertainment Team doesn’t pester you to join in in any activities but there are lots of things to join in with, if you want. Thank you to all the staff at Vile Gale Nautico for allowing us a much needed break and looking after us so well. I am sure we will return one day.

Hotel was nice and clean overall. There is 2 pool. 1 is for the the young kids and very small The 2nd one is a bigger pool about 1.6m deep. It’s not a big pool and can get busy when everyone uses at the same time. Struggled getting extra water for the rooms at first. You can get a large bottle of water from the pool bar and the main bar to take to your room. The food was basic. Breakfast was the same every day. Lunch and evening meal was the same food for most of the day. It did get boring after a bit. Pool bar had burgers and hot dogs. There was only one chive of cocktail each day. There is a football/ basketball pitch available to use free. The only issue is if you kick the ball in to the bushes your not likely to get it back. To get a sun chair you will need to get down to the pool around 8ish and later and you might struggle getting any. The beach is less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel, but it can be very busy some days. There is an ATM machine in the hotel which makes it easy to withdraw cash. You can get pool towels from reception, on the first day we where there all the towels had gone for a wash, it a good idea to change the towels in the evening to cleans ones so that you don’t run the rush of them not being available. Evening entertainment was basic. Hotel staff where nice and friendly. The room have a mini bar, but the only thing provided is 2 still and 2 sparking water 50cl bottles and the they don’t give more than that a day. You are better getting big bottles of water from the pool bar or the main bar.

Better than expected! Booked with TUI, flew with Easy jet-faultless despite the air traffic control debacle. Long transfer approx 30mins waiting on the coach for 1 more couple (suspect they got a taxi and didn’t tell the coach), approx 1hour transfer ( I would pay for private transfer next time with 2 young kids). Only 1 other stop off. Room amazing! 302, junior suite. 2 separate rooms and corner plot with private balcony( emailed ahead of time asking for a quiet non roadside room-pool view with sea view too). It’s soya to be polite and nice. Room is big and separate sleeping area for kids. Beds are hard, but ask for a mattress topper they have these in abundance. Also ask for a kettle and coffee/tea. Not standard just ask. Bathroom is dated and plain but does the job, Bidet as standard. Food-standard all inclusive, food fresh and beige. Everyone can eat something. Palin pasta and plain meat. Salads are good. Fresh meat is good, you can do Keto, seafood fresh also. Breakfast different things in abundance.fresh melon, orange, pineapple and yoghurts, cooked breakfast. Lots of protein. Evening cakes not so great (thankfully) I’d rather have melon. Snack bar during the day does beige food and a healthy chicken salad! Gym-no free weights but has machines Jo air con. Indoor pool good Outdoor pool great and allows inflatables. Bring your own from home. A standard ‘ring’ approx €12 not badly priced. Baby pool has 2 slides and is just enough. Subbed situation-last week of august no running for premium beds poolside. Plenty of extra on the grassy areas. Can hire bed towels ( we brought out own) Lots of different nationality’s, and their own Portuguese which I always find a good review of the hotel itself. Not just English which does mean people are rude, queue jump and don’t ‘let on’ but again kill them with kindness The staff yes a little grumpy, but kill them with kindness. I get the vibe that they aren’t used to good manners and when it happens they lock onto you and remember you. Ladies at front desk are Friendly and know lots. Hire a car and go west, coast hop and find those massive shells. Praia Galé is good. Walk into town at night get churros, €7 for 12 with Nutella! Usual tat on market stalls. Coffee places out and about short walk away. Kids club does kinda happen but not organised like a proper TUI one. I was actually happy with this TUI 3 T, it ain’t no 4 star TUI, but it has everything you need. Don’t be put off by the price, Portugal is cheap at the minute ( a beer in town €3 bargain! ) go and explore.

Just back from 5 nights all inclusive with my 6 year old daughter. Can't fault this hotel. Bedrooms were spotless, breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet had a great selection to choose from and seems to cater for all tastes. Swimming pool and pool area were spotlessly clean also. Location wise there is a beautiful beach only a short stroll down the road and a small bit further to the lovely promenade. The only thing i might add is that the kids club could be better. We checked the itinerary outlined for the kidsclub however some of what was proposed didn't seen to go ahead. Perhaps lack of interest from children. When travelling alone with small child, a successful kids club would be great. The hotel staff were very accommodating and worked very hard. Would return to this hotel in the future.

Great hotel for the price we paid through TUI. We arrived late at night folowing an EasyJet delay and were checked in nice and quick by the night manager. Perhaps they could offer a drink on arrival for anyone arriving so late, its obvious that people have travelled for a while to get there. There was water in the mini fridge in the room thoughso not too bad. The room was great, everything you need, comfy bed, aircon, mini fridge, hot shower. We were on the 3rd floor with pool & sea view, very nice. They had clearly finished the maintenance as we didn't see any of the building works going on that previous guests had mentioned. Wasn't surprised with the usual sunbed reserving but this place actually wasn't too bad, you could easily get a sunbed, maybe not in the best spot, even after breakfast. Perhaps its because this hotel caters for a whole host of nationalities and not the typical Brits and Germans ! There are lots of parasols to keep you out of the sun too. The pool was cold (not heated) but in 35 degree heat, that was just perfect so no complaints from anyone that i heard, just the usual "its great once you are in" Food was amazing , in the snack bar and the main restaurant. I am reasonably fussy and my wife is Veggie but we ate really well all week. Waiter service for the drinks which was fine never really took took too long. Didn't really stay for the entertainment as the walk into the town was lovely, really full of local life, people, street entertainment, shops and bars. We found a roof top bar called Soluna was really great. The beach was nice, busy, but you could get a spot wherever you wanted, we wlaked left as you arrive at the beach. Sand was really hot though so take good size beach mats / towels, blankets and buy a cheap parasol, the sun is really powerful. On one day we splashed out on a sunloungers and parasol. €20 well spent.. We visisted Albufeira Old Town on one day, booked an Uber for €14, weirdly it was €24 when i looked whilst in the the room and only €14 when i ordered from outside the hotel??? Great Old town with a mix of modern tourism, but follow the route to the Fishermens beach through the Tunnel and you get to a fab beach, again, sand is very hot. Waves a bity big for little ones but good for body boarding. We had been recommended by some friends to find Yolo Lounge, which we did so we had a nice roof top beer. When getting the Uber back i didn't realise most of the old town is one way or pedestrian so good tip is to get to the road and book it from there. Even though we stayed as a couple, our kids are older now adn dont want to come on holiday with us, we could tell this would be a great holiday for kids. Good entertainment and lots to do. Perhaps a touch hot though. Any great holiday and good hotel. Well worth a visit

Such a lovely holiday! The hotel is clean and the staff are so friendly. Kids were kept entertained with a variety of activities during the day and a kids disco in the evening. Bethany in particular was fantastic. Food was brilliant with lots of variety and different themed nights. There is a beach across the road which was nice for the Sunday when there are no scheduled activities at the hotel.

Lovely hotel, wonderful staff and great food. Just got back from a week, booked last minute for a cheap all inclusive getaway and to be honest I wasn’t expecting much. Was pleasantly surprised at the rooms, spacious and very clean. The pool and bar area was busy, but always managed to find a sun lounger. Food was excellent and of a good variety. Staff were accommodating and pleasant. Short walk to nearby beach, but renting sunloungers there was stupidly expensive and the water freezing, so we stayed by the pool afterwards. Local area is nice. All in all would recommend for a cheap get away with the family

The rooms are clean - as is the hotel as the cleaners are constantly cleaning. The beds are comfy and we had plenty of room in our double room for a travel cot for our 1yo and extra bed for our 4yo. The aircon was appreciated as was the mini fridge for water. There was a wide variety of food. Breakfast was as you would expect. We enjoyed lunch and dinners. There were two different themed BBQs in the week we were there and on a day to day basis a variety of meat and fish options and side dishes to suit all tastes (pasta, rice, potatoes, chips, bead, salads). We liked the fact drinks were served to tables, we ordered as we sat down and they had arrived by the time we had been and picked our food. Our kids ate from all areas of the buffet but there was a section for those with plainer tastes. The snack bar at the pool was handy was for in between meals to put the kids on until dinner which wasn’t until 7pm. We thought the food and drinks were really good value for money and it would have cost us a fortune to eat steak and fresh fish everyday if we weren’t all inclusive! The pool area was busy. People were there from early on and on their sun beds all day however some people were reserving beds at breakfast time and not using them for huge parts of the day. The pool was cool but nice in the hot weather! The beach was five minutes away and was clean. Could be very busy at times. We weren’t fussed about the entertainment as our kids were usually in bed before it started but the balcony was nice to sit and have a drink on. The staff were friendly and helpful (minus no one offering to help us when we arrived at 11pm with two sleeping kids, three suitcases and a pushchair). The all the staff were lovely with the kids!
