It's unfortunate that the ratings choice jumps from average to very good because in my opinion this hotel is better than average but doesn't quite make very good. Good it definitely is. The hotel is situated about ten minutes walk from the centre in a quiet area. There are a couple of excellent restaurants nearby. We had a fabulous evening...

I decided on this place based on the reviews and it lived upto those expectations. the place was neat, within a decent walkable distance from the city center and old town. It was neat and the staff are helpful and courteous.

Basic but very clean, friendly hotel. Ten mins walk from centre easy to find everything and situated on a quiet side street. Our 3 bedded room had a very adequate bathroom with fresh towels supplied each day. Breakfast had lots of choice, bread rolls very tasty. Would recommend this hotel but maybe a female travelling alone would be better nearer...

I had a room with a balcony - there are only two, so you might need to book in advance. It was spacious, comfortable, lovely bathroom and fridge ("mini-bar") for a little extra. My daughter and grandson had standard rooms which were a bit more basic. Breakfast room is spacious and simple continental breakfast was good. The public bar and...

Stayed here for 1 night having got train from Lisbon & was flying out from Faro. 8 mins walk from the station 10 mins from the harbour. The place is as basic as it is clean. The room fitted a purpose which was sleep & shower, for this I have no complaints. Where the luggage was kept there had been...

Arrived at this hotel a little after 0900 hours a good 5 hours before usual check in time. We were hoping to be able to leave our bags while going out for something to eat. The hotel owner informed us most politely there was no need as our room was ready and that we could checkin. The room was very...

This is exactly what you want in a hotel -- comfort and ease, and they work to keep the riff-raff out (I saw it first hand). Elevator to your room, quiet place, friendly staff. Clean and simple and the taxi driver knows the way.

The number 16 bus took us from the airport to the hotel in 15 minutes. If you are looking for a good basic hotel you will not do far wrong with the Alnacir. The whole place is spotless. They provide a good continental breakfast. They provide body wash and shampoo in the bathrooms and a very good shower with piping...
