If I had any family in Lagos, Portugal it would be Shangri-Lagos and the people that live, work and interact with it. This hostel has an amazing energy about it which brings out the real you in the world. I could not describe what this place and Lagos means to me in a thousand words, the closest I can think... Had the most amazing time at Shangri Lagos! The staff were amazing! The location is excellent and the garden! Oh the garden! Every afternoon was spent relaxing on a couch or beanbag after a day of swimming or exploring. The garden is so cozy and is the perfect place for everyone to come together and chat/nap/drink etc etc. I could... More

It's was definitely an eventful stay at this hostel. It began already with booking, by accident I booked three times instead of one and I really was helped nicely to undo this. Then I stayed with my friends in the mixed dorm where sadly I got robbed.. but we got an upgrade to the apartment at the other side of... More

The location, the staff, the garden...Epic! We wanted to stay for a few days, but they became weeks without any regrets. The garden gives you a quiet place to make some international friends during the day, and a perfect warmup for the night with lots of funny activity's to get you in the right mood (most of the time you... The bulding was in the centre but it didn't look clean! We had to wait 8 pm for our room that was located in an other structure. One of the bathroom didn't work. You had to move to the other building to have breakfast. And the room was small and a bit dirty. You feel like you are still in... More

I've been traveling for 2 months in Europe and UK and haven't written a review yet. However this hostel has forced me too. We got a free upgrade on arrival along with great advise on Lagos. I unfortunately did ligaments in my ankle and the staff got me ice, water, food, drove me to the hospital and booked a physio... More

We spent three days at Shangri-Lagos Hostel in a private bedroom. The room wasn't in the main house and therefore we didn't have wi-fi. On the other hand we had almost our own bathroom and kitchen. It was a nice hostel, but the interiordesign was a bit too chaotic for me...The staff was friendly (except in the morning;-)

I would definitely recommend this place, the staff is absolutely fantastic the most helpful I have ever come across. Perfect location to beach, restaurants and nightlife. It really is like one big family there and there is genuine care that their guests have a good time and a comfortable stay. Loved it!

This hostel has a good location in the old town of Lagos, close to the beaches and bars. I stayed here for three nights and had a good stay with many new friends.
