What a wonderful location to stay in Lagos Had all the amenities Plus clos to beach, town and points of interest Buffet breakfast great all while following Covid protocol Wouldn’t hesitate returning Pools, while small, were perfect for a quick dip
We were not as happy as others regarding the location of the hotel perhaps because we wanted to explore the town and surrounding areas rather than the (very good) local beaches. We also didn't have a car and the 40 minute walk into town and back a couple of times a day became a chore. There didn't seem to be a local bus. The walk to the bus station and marina was longer. Sadly our room wasn't as nice as others report. The 'junior suite ' in the annexe lacked a wardrobe and had some maintenance issues. Although the bed was large and comfortable and there was excellent housekeeping.
If you are looking for a great couple retreat look no further... This place is brilliantly located just in the Outskirts of the Town Centre, located brilliantly for Dona Ana Beach and a 20 min stroll into the town centre. Staff here could not do more to help you checking in was a breeze and they were happy to point out where the beaches are and the pros and cons to all of them, we were located in the Villa 1 min up the road this is a fabulous setting nice and quiet our room was in the corner so was extremely quiet, great patio area with chairs and table overlooking the pool (there are 2 others on the whole site) room itself is spacious, seating area and plenty of hanging space. Large comfy bed and the bathroom was of a very decent size with a great rainfall shower. Rooms are also equipped with a small fridge, iron, safe and a coffee machine (pod type, not included but no problem) the AC worked a absolute treat. Breakfast was ample and plenty of seating with the usual continental fayre, also loads of local pastries including Pastel de Natas, loads of quality fresh fruit, yoghurts, fruit juices and a coffee machine, can't comment on the cooked options as I didn't try but they are there should you want too. The villa itself looks beautiful at night and is well lit if you wanted to take in the lovely Algarve evening. The staff could not do too much to help and we're absolute stars. We would reccomend this place to everyone perfect location, perfect setting, perfect staff. They should be very proud of this offering …
PROS: - Great location, walking distance to a couple highlight beaches: Praia Do Ana and Praia Do Camilo - 10 minute walk to Ponte Piedade, amazing views for sunset - Breakfast buffet with various options - Provide towels and umbrellas for the beach - My friend and I booked a room that was meant for 3 people and it was so spatious, with our own private balcony. So we had privacy compared to other rooms with balconies exposed to everyone else. - 2 pools, which are great options when you don't feel like tackling the hills up/down to the beaches - Great price point for location and quality Only one CON: - Our room didn't have a full length mirror Loved our stay here, would highly recommend staying here when visiting Lagos.
Cute hotel with rooms spread out over the property. There a few pools although they are quite small. Nice for a refreshing dip. Towels were provided for the beach and the pool. There was a lovely breakfast buffet which followed Covid safety protocols very well. Our room was large with a table and chairs, sofa, dresser, wardrobe, and cabinet with a coffee maker, kettle, wine glasses, cork screw and mini fridge. We stayed 3 nights but could easily been comfortable there for a week. There was a small patio or terrace with a cafe table and chairs which I especially enjoyed. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again. The only negatives might be that the bed was a bit firm (we noticed this throughout Portugal) and I would have like a place to hang bathing suits etc outside. I know some rooms had them but ours did not. …
