We have been welcomed by Jon and his wife in this house completely hidden on the middle of the forest with nothing around except insects! For those people who like wild, it is the perfect place. The house is nice, open areas with a bar, pool (small one), rooftop and all commodities. But, as I said, it is wild... The...

we really enjoyed our stay in this "out of time" place. the owners are very welcoming and helpfull, the house is rustic but confortable (even with a baby and a 5 yo child) and charming. this portugues/jamaïcan/dutch ambiance was perfect for an off-the-road break during our itinering trip, and it will obviously be a stop again when we'll come back...

An ideal place for nature lovers... We stayed there 4 nights, and more than the amazing location and surroundings, we particularly appreciated tips and advise given by Jon and Pauline who will adjust and try to understand what you like so that you'll see stuff that are in no travel book yet, making the whole experience even more unforgettable! We discovered the Quinta many years ago and have stayed there several times. Comfortable beds in every nice room we stayed in. The hosts, Jon and Pauline, know every nice spot in the area. They hand out self drawn maps to show you how to get there. Breakfast at the Quinta is fantastic!

We stayed with at Quinta de Coracao for 4 nights and really liked this place. The hosts are very lovely and provided us with delicious breakfast and dinner (not compulsory). The guesthouse is located in a quiet valley (perfect for lazy afternoons). Nice hiking (for example Rocha da Pena or Fonte de Benemola) is nearby. Its a 30 min drive...

I needed a place to unwind and let go for a couple of days. My way of doing this is by a combination of exercise and nature. Quinta do Coracao offers this and far more. I pre-arranged a mtb but hadn't thought about getting there. It seemed to be a bit more secluded than i thought:) gotta love it! Jon,...

First time in Portugal for a long weekend where we wanted a place to just unwind and recharge the batteries. This is just what the Jon and Pauline offered. The welcome was warm and the place just quirky but in a nice way. We had breakfast and 2 dinners there and they were both plentiful and delicious. Jon & Pauline...

Portugal is a country of contrasts. For us this was our first visit to Portugal and having spent a week on the coastal strip of the Algarve, with its rip off prices, we were looking forward to moving 'up country' for our 2nd week. We were not disappointed. Quinta do Coracao is an amazing place to stay. Why? There are...

We are so happy to be back in Quinta do Coracao. It's an unique and authentic place with a relaxing atmosphere. Jon and Pauline are really helpful and share a lot of information about restaurants and other places to visit in the region. As soon as you drive along the dirt road to the quinta you are in a different...
