I spent a few days in the resort for spa and relax. the compound is in a beautiful location and spreads over different buildings. The building we stayed in, right over the restaurant is welcoming, comfortable and quiet. The restaurant and breakfast are great value too.

The reality is that I was expecting something better from the room. It was such a small one that I could live with next room's companions. What I can bring up to a top 4 was the spa service and the restaurant service and food. If we count on the miraculous water and surrounding nature, to make this hotel a... More

We stayed for 3 weeks in the hotel with our guests. We found that from the outset all the staff were very helpful and in particular, Joana, who was our main contact could not have been more helpful, she was fantastic and really went the extra mile for us and nothing was too much trouble. It was a great experience... More

Reception could be better (slow and no air conditioning) Wonderful sitting room, with a gorgeous patio. Lovely old fashioned room overlooking the square, tastefully decorated and furnished, super bed. Bathroom nice but had a problem with shower head being loose. Staff spot on. Wine bar is spot on. Restaurant This was the second time we had dinner in the hotel restaurant,... More

We visit the spa village every time we are in Portugal. We have stayed here on two occasions now and loved it both times. The rooms are great and well appointed. The food it lovely and plenty of it. The staff are friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade as the main hotel was booked... More

We've stayed in this "hotel" because we had a wedding close by and were pretty amazed by the spot - It is incredibly beautiful and the hotel pretty good. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the breakfast is very complete (not amazing but good). The surroundings are very pretty and well taken care off. If your are in the... More

Nice place, room was a good deal, disount at the spa (15 € instead of 20 €) could be bigger, especially notes somewhere at the homepage. At the spa you nees a cap, what they charge you 3,50 € for, this is not 2016.

Nice hotel for a weekend out of the confusion of big cities.. Great staff, everything went as described before booking. Didn't try the spa. Monchique is 5 min driving and foia, highest peak of Algarve, is just 8 km from the city. Little drawback, as of September of 2016, mountain views are degraded due to a big fire that took... More

Great spot, excellent facilities- an effort of maintenance must be made in the exterior swimming pool, the water seems very dirty, the signs/information to reach the pool/restaurant don't exist. Reception staff very nice, cleaning of bedrooms ok. Restaurant staff very slow- tables in the terrace weren't ready at 9h00...lunch order took 1h30 to reach our table...

Overall it's a great place to stay for s couple of days like we did, moving from the old ( hotel central ) to the new building ( hotel thermal) taking advantage of their swimming pool and relaxing area. Unfortunately there were also many downsides and little details that were just not right . if you take a closer look... More
