My wife and I stayed here for two nights last week as part of an out of season week in Portugal, away from the Algarve. The area is lovely, as was the welcome here, but being out of season meant that we did not see it at its best. The place is great value for money, especially the food and...

A very welcoming stay for a tired pair of motorcycle riders. Relaxed vibe, nothing too much trouble and simply perfect banana pancakes. The home preserved olives were a real treat with a dry sherry to start the meal. Off street parking very much appreciated & such a lovely outlook from our room. Suzie & team (plus the wonderful Canadian bar...

We are staying at Bica Boa for two nights. It is such a relaxing, beautiful and calm place to be. Everyone warm and welcoming, views magnificent, rooms clean and cool. The terrace and restaurant are located to make the most of the views across the valley. The food is excellent and last night we ate Chicken Pir-Piri by candlelight with...

I can only rate the food as I have never actually stayed as a guest of the albergeria. I've only been here for lunch although I did have a tour of the rooms and grounds, all of which are lovely. As I said, I've been many times over the years for lunch and enjoyed it every time. The menu has...

No staff buzzing around you, yet everything was somehow always there. Nothing seemed to much trouble for anyone to make our stay enjoyable...very low key. The room we had, the 'primavera' had lovely french windows onto a gorgeous view...comfy orthopaedic beds, clean, crisp linen daily, cool and very clean with tidy en-suite. Last night I ate the best steak I'd...

I have eaten here a few times and never disappointed with the quality of food and service. Especially the Chicken PiriPiri, which although is sold almost everywhere around Monchique, Bica Boa has managed to put a rather unique and delicious twist to this native classic. My only suggestion would be to enhance the lighting inside the restaurant, its a bit...

Jangstarr is the best bar man ever cant wait to hang out with this guy again. Friendly warm and efficient. Excellent food. Round of applause. Will definitely be back. Susie and danny are incredibly hospitable and accommodating. If there was ten stars they would get that.

Had a lovely 3 night stay here in January; turned up without phoning or booking ahead and received a warm welcome and were shown to a good room. We made use of the kitchen area for cups of tea and chilling some wine! We met Suzy over breakfast the next morning and were made very welcome - the breakfast was...

Stayed here on a motorcycle trip. Very nice place to stay. Everything we needed was there. Couldn't fault it. Good people, comfy beds, great breakfast etc etc. I hope to visit this area again and will definitely stay here again.

A little gem found in the mountains. We were driving for hours and needed to find the place to stay for the night. We found Bica Boa and straight away we liked the location. The rooms are very basic, bit overpriced for what it was but we were too tired to be fussy. We were very impressed with the dinner....
