If you look for a really special place to stay - this is it! A beautifully renovated moastry, ideally located with a beautifful view on the Atlantic and a nice garden with a great swimmingpool. Vila Franco da Campo is a beautiful and quiet little town. You should not miss out on a whalewatching tour with Terra Azul. Their office...

Plus points are the excellent breakfast, the peacefulness of the place. We found it to be clean. The staff were friendly. This is really a unique place, full of character. It's not a traditional hotel though ie no TV in room so may not suit everyone.

It was a very unusual place for staying: a monastery like only now monks left this house, and we were alone there!:) A little bit scary but an unforgettable experience to feel in 17 century. Very nice breakfast and hospitable staff.

An amazing place, totally unexpected ...step through a nondescript door beside the petrol station off the roundabout coming into Vila Franca do Campo - and into a different world. This former convent has been extensively renovated with great care and attention - providing wonderful airy corridors, cloisters, hidden stairways and high ceilinged rooms, packed with interesting religious-themed art and furniture....

The Convento is more like a b'n'b with nice view in a stunning old building, so do not expect a hotel with the usual service and you can spend a happy time there. We felt like prince and princess and spent 4 nights there (100 instead of 125 euro p. Night) in a generous and charming room, very clean, good...

We spent a night there and my husband was having hard time deciding whether to stay with them because he read the negatives from other reviews, and I am happy that we still decided to come to this Convent. The room is very clean, unique with a touch of being a convent in its past. This place is very casual...

A nice place with a pleasent and special flair as others have explained in detail before. But: Make sure you agree on a rate. We were told we could choose between rooms at 100€ (double bed) or 125€ (two single beds). At arrival we were shown 2 rooms with double beds and were charged... 125€. Overpriced for the place in...

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights in September 2014. The hotel was amazing and our hosts were welcoming and friendly. Our room was superb overlooking the swimming pool and gardens with the sea in the background. The hotel was very comfortable with a relaxing lounge area with drinks available. The breakfasts were amazing especially the fresh pineapple every...

We were on our honeymoon and our wonderful travel company (Archipelago Azores) had booked us the best room in the place- with a balcony overlooking the ocean and the pool. From the outside it didn't look anything special, but the moment you entered you were taken back in time to the world of the convent. They have modernised in a...
