I stayed here with friends whilst touring Spain and Portugal on motorcycles, it is in a quite area, my room had views over the town and surrounding mountains, the rooms are well equipped, the swimming pool is a great bonus, be warned the town is a short walk away but I I is all up hill when you are returning, I didn’t have dinner at the hotel, the breakfast buffet is extensive.
TRYP Colina is a very nice place! And the location - with a splendid view - is second to none! International level, certainly! But the restaurant lacks quality. Octopus is a signature dish in Portugal, and several restaurants in humble places are able to serve you excellent versions of this and other types of sea food. But not TRYP Colina! Tasteless and obviously taken out of the deep freezer. Deeply disappointing, but it seems to be a general tendency among hotels with international ambitions. Tighten up!!!!
nice hotel of the Tryp-melia group. Good beds, good bathroom. A part of the hotel was closed for restauration, but excelent work from the staff: it remained clean, almost no disturbance. Friendly staff. Somewhat out of the city center
First the good things: Front desk good overall. Comfortable beds, well-equipped gym. Breakfast is great, with a variety of fruits, juices, bakery, eggs. Top: croissants (which are not easy to find in Portugal) and the waiters were really nice and efficient. Definitely needs to improve: Cleaning! The bathroom had droplike stains on the walls, the bedroom walls had these ones plus black dirt. The pool's surrounding white plastic and furniture is full of green mold. (see pictures). The sauna was not working, and another lady who happened to be in the steam room said it was not working for more than 4 days. The showers (in the room, before pool, and in the steaming room) need to be replaced or at least cleaned. Considering this is a four-star hotel, and that cleanness is a very important factor.…
A nice place to eat.... The view is the best thing in this place. The restaurant in the hotel is nice and the food is normal. Don't expect to much, the concept was self service and in general the view is the only thing to remember.....
