The location is at the foot of the hill, a block from the train station (Coimbra A, not B). It is very close to everything up the hill, so seems to be a good location. Most the hotels we saw were a bit "tired", but the Oslo is clean and modern, somewhat of an oasis in a bit of grunge....

Lobby area is nice but there is only one parking space to load/unload your car in front. Easy indoor parking is provided across the street. Room and bathroom quite narrow and tiny. They advised us to pick up a more spacious room on the top floor at a cost of I think around 20 euros extra. Lucky we didn't because...

This is a small hotel, extremely well located near the historic area of Coimbra, restaurants and other tourist areas. The rooms are small but comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and bathroom is nice and well supplied. We enjoyed our one night there. Breakfast is good and the view is great. But even better, the...

We had a room on the first floor. Heard neighbours talk, flush the toilet, take a shower etc. Fortunately, we left the next morning; only after a short night of sleep. Wasn't a midsummer night, but a nightmare. Complaining at the desk didn't help. Next morning at check out: how was your stay?. We told again and got as answer...

Very close to the train station. Quiet. Has excellent rooftop deck above the 5th floor. Not fancy but clean and comfortable. Bar on the fifth floor is vey pleasant facing the city and views toward the university. Best rooms are on the 5th floor. Train ride from Coimbra B station on the main rail line is free to Coimbra A...

Nice and clean hotel in Coimbra. Very friendly staff. The rooftop bar provides a great view of the university and surrounding attractions. Buffet breakfast is great with good variety. Also very close to rail and bus stations and other attractions.

We stayed for two nights in a room the hotel described as superior. It was adequate in size with a large, comfortable bed and efficient air conditioning. The bathroom was a bit small but was clean and well equipped. The room had a nice view of the university and was located over a busy street which was a problem because...

Rooms are quite small but perfectly adequate for a short stay. All the staff we spoke with were friendly, helpful and willing to help with information on things to do in the location. The roof top terrace was a great spot for a drink at the end of the day but could benefit from some extra lighting once the sun...

If you want to walk the old town & up to the university, this is a good location but the rooms are quite small and minimally furnished. Breakfast was typical for Portugal with limited fresh fruit. Our shower was so small that you couldn't bend over if you dropped something! Limited towels and no washcloths.

We stayed one night in Coimbra. The hotel is very central, near the pedestrian mall, and conveniently located near the train station. The room was pleasant, the bed comfortable, the breakfast excellent, and the pièce de résistance was the balcony on the roof, overlooking the fantastic view, especially at night. One can seat on one of the comfortable seats or...
