Cosy hostel with very unique interior design, very friendly staff, perfectly located. We felt at home immediately. And thanks to Patrick from the US for all the conversations and the snack surprise. All the best, Hannah and Julia from Germany

I come alone for a fast-trip and honestly this is made with love. The interior desing is so beautifull ,comfy and is like you stay in home sweet home. So clean instalations (the lady how care about it is amazing, so tender). And of course all the personal who works there are incredible, so friendly and like brothers and sisters care of me. Thanks for this experience! I'm sure that i come again.

The beds are big and comfortable, the rooms are beautiful, clean and spacious, the staff feel more like genuinely friendly hosts than staff. My friend and I had a wonderful time staying here - despite going through some difficulties while travelling, we quickly started using the term "going home", referring to the hostel when we returned after our daily shenanigans. I can't thank them enough for being so kind and warm when we had some trouble during our journey.

This hostel was amazing! It felt like staying at someone’s home. The vibe was chill and friendly. The location was perfect, staff were accommodating and breakfast was tasty. I stayed in a dorm room and made friends easily. It is cash only which I didn’t realize when I got there but the front desk staff still let me check in and told me I could take care of it later. I appreciated that because I really wanted to rest before going out to find an atm. I highly recommend!

I stayed one night in the "1812 room," one of the private doubles. The private rooms are in a separate apartment on the same floor as the hostel. Private room guests have their own shared bathroom, kitchen, and eating area but may also use the hostel common areas. The 24-hour reception is in the hostel, across the hall on the same floor. The 1812 room is huge, and furnished with funky antiques as in the the photos. Coffee, rolls, and juice are available for breakfast. The location is just behind the Ribeira Mercado and very close to the Cais do Sodre station. Although there are people out at nearby bars all night, it was not too noisy. No AC but there is a fan in the room -- not needed when I was there.

Hi, I stayed at and reviewed both Lisbon Calling Hostel and double rooms on Rua de Sao Paolo and Lisbon Calling Suites on Rua do Fe. These are in different parts of town. Assuming you are asking about the Rua de Sao Paolo location, it is about 10 miles from the airport. By car or taxi, it is listed on google maps as 18 minutes. I took the metro which took about 30 minutes from the Cais do Sodre station to the airport station and involved one change of trains. Lisbon Calling is about 5 minutes walk, at most, from the Cais do Sodre station. It was very easy.
