I would highly recommend anywhere but here!
Here is why:
Room smells like smoke/butt,
None stop noise all night,
Crazy amounts of ants,
Dirty bath mats they won't clean!,
No WiFi on floor above 2,
Horrible water pressure,
Rock hard bed,
Three storey high building in the very bohemian "Bairro Alto".
No lift, kind of kitsch decor, not very comfortable and noise from the crowds on the weekends could be a problem (there's a bar just next to the residencial that is open until 2 a.m....More

It`s clean and value for money is good. It is definately not your place if you are looking for a quiet rest before five a.m. ;-)
wifi is for free and they cleaned the room daily. We felt safe and would come back.
