This was our second stay at As Janelas Verdes and I cannot imagine staying at another hotel in Lisbon. It is located about a 15 minute walk away from the centre of Lisbon and you will need to take a taxi to eat in the evening, which may not suit everyone. However I think it is worth it for the...

Dear Guest, Thank you for staying with us and for your review. We are happy to know that you enjoyed your stay, specially our library and our location. As you mention, our area is not so crowded and touristic as other historic quarters but there is a good range of local restaurants and cafés in our neighborhood (avoiding to take...

...the places that you book on a whim and never forget. As Janelas Verdes is definitely such place! It feels and looks authentic; the staff - especially the lovely reception Lady - are friendly and helpful! The rooms are of good size and the bathrooms are huge! Everything is just right. From the complementary Port in the room, the complementary...

My wife and I enjoyed our brief 3 day stay at this lovely hotel. It helped that the weather was spring perfect, the breakfast was delicious, the view from our balcony was of the boats, the river, the bridge, AND center city (15 min bus or taxi ride). Want to be off the beaten path, serene and in gracious and...

As Janelas Verdes is a lovely classic hotel with excellent service. My room was spacious and well appointed. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is a little west of the center, but it's very easy to get to the center by public transportation or a five-minute cab ride.

The rattling of the cars on the stones in the busy street ( all day and all night ) are making the rooms at the street side unfit to use as hotel rooms. The breakfast is ok, the view on the terrace is nice. The hotel is away from the city center so it will take you at least 20...

Dear Guest, Thank you for staying with us and for letting us know your opinion. We are extremely sorry that your expectations were not met. All the rooms are equipped with double glazing windows and we will recheck the sound proofing / closing mechanism. Our location is in the neighborhood of Lapa, an historic quarter retains much of its traditional...

Short break, mix business and pleasure, excellent hotel but staff made it exceptional, I would highly recommend the stay here, from the lovely ground floor outside courtyard, weather permitting have breakfast, to the wonderful library with outdoor terrace or sumptuous library itself. Lots of quirky things here from the honesty bar to the breakfast choices. Hotel is on main bus...

I booked a last minute room here under duress: My elderly mother had fallen and broken her hip, and I needed to return to Lisbon quickly to cancel the remainder of my trip and schedule a flight home. The staff here was very helpful with calling airlines and making reservations, but the hotel itself is gorgeous! It has been kept...

Unique and historic hotel with welcoming and helpful staff. We had a river view room which was lovely and had a great bathroom. Breakfasts were delicious and could be had in the courtyard garden which was very pretty and tranquil. There was a lovely library on the top floor with a terrace and honesty bar - perfect at the end...

From the moment you arrive, the quality of the service is evident. My friendly, multi-lingual staff, and the quality of the service continued through our three night stay. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious, with furnishings in keeping with the rest of the hotel. The decanter of port in the room was very welcome, as was the unlimited tea/coffee...
