Easy to get to via the airport bus at €3.50 a person to the final stop Cais de sodre. The walk from there is about 15 mins or take bus 727 and get off at the art museum. The hotel is beautiful inside. Very in keeping with the building. Our room #18 was spacious clean and the welcome bottle of...

This small hotel really was wonderful! It made us very welcome, and provided us with a good, well-furnished room. The third-floor library had a collection of books in Portugese and Spanish, and it opened out onto a veranda with wonderful views across and along the river. Breakfast was provided in a beautiful courtyard at the back. It is somewhat off...

We have just returned from a weekend break at this hotel. We thought it was wonderful. The Reception staff in particular were so friendly and at check in particularly helpful in giving us lots of information as it was our first visit to Lisbon. As many previous reviewers have mentioned, the library is just lovely. Our room was very nice...

We LOVED this hotel. Convenient, very quiet, wonderful breakfast in a beautiful courtyard, good restaurants nearby. Lovely views of river and rooftops. Inviting terrace. Great service and a warm and helpful staff.

Nice hotel, however is not in great area, and expensive! We paid over $1,000 for 3 nights, and this hotel is not in a nice area of Lisbon, relatively far from Belem seaports and the old Main Square so we always had to take a bus or cab to get anywhere. While Lisbon has more than 1,000 years of history...

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your review about your recent stay with us. We are most pleased that you liked our hotel and our helpful and friendly staff despite our particular location. As Janelas Verdes is located in a residential area in a triangle formed by the aristocratic Lapa district, the popular Bairro da Madragoa (adjacent to Bairro...

We were in this little hotel for three days in our long trip in Europe. The staff is very friendly and professional and made our short stay a very pleasant one. The hotel is a old building with character and charms so you feel comfortable and easy. One day we will get back to this wonderful city and to this...

This was our 1st stop on our trip to Portugal and Spain. The hotel is quaint, the room cute with a welcoming carafe of wine!! Unfortunately on our 1st morning, I was taken by ambulance to the hospital for medical reasons from the hotel. During my hospitalization, the staff took my friend, Erinn, into their heart and under their wing!!...

The building is gorgeous; lots of character and really romantic. The library and terrace are really beautiful and welcoming. The room was ok- a bit drab, hard bed, questionable carpet, but doable. What was horrible was the NOISE! we had a room adjacent from the kitchen and the sound of dishes woke us up at 4am. After dozing in and...

Our experience at Janelas Verdes was perfect from arrival to departure. We received a friendly welcome at check-in and an upgraded room. Our suite had a waterfront view that was spectacular. The room was spotless, well-decorated and comfortable. Wi-fi was fast and reliable. Our suite had a cozy sitting room complete with complimentary tea, coffee and cookies. Another nice touch...

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for one evening and it was perfect. From the friendly welcome and advice about the city to the lovely room with a view of the river, complimentary Port wine and area to relax - the Library which has a gratis and 'honesty' bar with snacks and drinks. This was all topped off...
