We took a punt on this hotel, partly based on price and partly on its quirky school theme. Overall we were pleased with our choice. The school theme is fun, but doesn't completely work. The bedroom carpet, which someone hated, attempts to pull the theme through into the rooms but it doesn't quite work, but then, how far would you...

I booked the Hotel da Estrela based on the good reviews received and the fact that it belongs to Small Leading Hotels. Check in was good, very friendly. Nice large, bright room with lovely view to the river but a bit shocked to find the toilet is a cubicle in the room as is the shower - no separate bathroom....

Absolutely wonderful little hotel in a great area close to the beautiful Estrela park. Hotel grounds were neat and stylish, breakfast simple but delicious. Service was impeccable, we got a great room that was convenient with a small baby and equipped with baby cot and baby bath. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

When I reviewed this hotel in April I said I would return. I have just spent two nights there. Once again, found the reception staff to be polite, helpful, and gracious. Really appreciated the big comfortable bed and the cleanliness, size, and comfort of the bedroom. Excellent value for €90/night. Two very minor niggles. My room overlooked the courtyard and...

We stayed here 3 nights. Very clean, design hotel. The bathroom is amazing!! We enjoyed a lot the breakfast: not too big, but fresh fruit, orange juice(so good!) and typical sweets. Highly recommended. Next visit to Lisbon, we will stay there for sure!

First it is important to mention that the hotel belongs to the hospitality school that is just beside the hotel. Hence most of the staff are students which is fine but this should clearly be mentioned in the hotel website and/or reservation websites. The first impression in the hotel was good, the staff is kind and we felt that we...

We stayed in this hotel for three nights and were very pleased to be upgraded to a suite as we were celebrating a special anniversary. The hotel has been styled to resemble a school although this is in parts only tokenistic . We found the style a bit confused with a real mixture of furnishings ,mostly very modern. The clear...
