The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. If you have a larger car e.g. an estate, it's a difficult manoeuvre but with a smaller car you should be fine. Public parking in the immediate vicinity is limited and on a pay and display basis
