Host and hostess were very pleasant and gracious. Very accommodating. Breakfast was filling, nothing fancy but very satisfying. They have an excellent app that helps you negotiate Lisbon and the surrounding neighborhood. Be aware, the house has long, narrow steep stairs.

This has nothing to do with Zaza Guest House! Different location. The apartment is in an old building in the middle of Bairro Alto, very centrally located. Two metro stations are in walking distance, many restaurants, tram 28 station, etc). The house was renovated some 20 years ago, so do not expect it to be modern. The windows to the...

It was a good stay, and a convenient location - however, the walls are thin and you can hear drunk and rowdy people in the neighbourhood till 3 or 4am, as it is a touristy area. Owner was helpful and gave travel tips.

We had a wonderful time in the Portuguese city. Our apartment was fantastically located in Bairro Alto (a stone's throw from the famous Manteigaria café!). The Zuzabed staff treated us really well, and overall the service and apartment were amazing value.

We had a very pleasant stay at Zuza Guesthouse. A nice private appartment, with a good double bed and a very nice shower. The breakfast was good. People were very friendly and helpfull. The location is exellent: walking distance to the centre and all kind of restaurants. Quiet nights.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time in Lisbon Portugal. We were met at the airport by our taxi driver who took us to our room. The staff was friendly and welcoming, also they gave us a local cell phone we could use and booked us dinner reservation at a fabulous restaurant which had the greatest service

We had a very pleasant stay at ZUZA suites. We had a large and well equipped apartment, got a very warm welcoming and loved above all the location, in the best part of Lisbon's city centre. Recommended!

The accommodations were excellent and in a vibrant location of Lisbon! We enjoyed both Ana and Luis and their help finding the very best places to eat and see while in the city! Luis helped us find the train station and secure our tickets! Kitchen was well furnished! Bed was great and enjoyed the patio area!

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighbourhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
