This was our second visit to Lisbon and to Zuzabed. We love the location, the breakfast, the bed and our host and his assistants. We were welcomed with smiles and hugs and felt as if we were visiting with family. We enjoyed this stay as much, if not more than our first trip to Lisbon three years ago. There is...

Very welcoming and caring hosts, flat is just perfect for a couple, brilliantly located at the heart of historic Lisbon, excellent starting point for exploring the city on foot, close to the waterfront and surrounded by nice restaurants and fado bars. We d definitely go there again, if we had the chance.

The apartment is in a great location with all main sights in central Lisbon in walking distance. It's very spacious and the breakfast delivered fresh every day was delicious. It's so nice to find fresh bread rolls outside your door every morning :-) It was very easy to communicate with Luis and checking in and out were no problem. The...

I had to stay for one night and the minute I walked in the door they made me feel at home. At Zuza they understand and live true hospitality. In the morning (i arrived late the night before) Luise and Anne were very helpful in explaining what to do and see in Lisbon.

Excellent location. Very friendly and helpful hosts. The Terrace Castle room was comfortable with a great view, though the shower wasn't the best. Wonderful buffet breakfast. Would stay there again and would recommend it to friends and family without hesitation.

great choice for city break. close to metro and nice restaurants, old cobbled streets. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Noisy at night as bar opposite, nothing ear plugs and a wine couldnt solve! simple adequate breakfast, very friendly helpful stall. I love Lisbon and would stay here again. Good value for money.

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighbourhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.

“You do have to climb some stairs so be prepared. But there is someone to carry your bags for you which is really nice. And do check out the view from your room each night and open the window so you can hear the street musicians play each evening.”
