I asked for a double room - they gave me a twin. The noise from the railway line was so loud I could not sleep the first night. After the second night of the same I found a different place in the same area that was less expensive and quieter. At the front desk they seemed uninterested and were not even interested in comping me for the parking. Avoid at all costs.
We overnighted here at short notice and found it quite adequate for our needs. The room was spacious enough and comfortable. The decor is a bit arty but quite attractive. We had dinner in their restaurant. It was ok without being special as there was only a buffet option available. Staff in the Hotel and Restaurant were very pleasant.
We are at this very pleasant hotel , ideally located in EXPO and close to Oriente metro station Great 13th front facing view Only problem was we were not told of construction work during day time while we were resting , drills and hammering , complained to reception ...no joy , we were told “sorry” very poor understanding of our needs. Have multiple recording of construction noise , if we knew about the work we would have stayed at another hotel ...
Overall it is not a bad hotel. The breakfast is good in my opinion. The room it self is not bad, but nothing special. One thing I really disliked about it was the lack of a good view and a balcony. But again, if you're going to use the hotel just for sleeping, I believe you won't dislike it. The location I think is convenient.
The hotel's location is excellent. Just be warned that it is next to the train tracks so you hear the trains drive by every 15-20 minutes or so and IT'S LOUD. I'm a deep sleeper so it didn't disturb me but if you are a light sleeper, good luck! It feels like you're right next to the tracks, on the ground floor. I stayed on the 9th floor. The staff is generally really nice. However, everything else was sub-par. The room didn't have basic tea/coffee facilities. The tap in the bathtub wasn't working properly. When it did, it took 15 minutes for the water to turn warm and when it did, it became super hot and it took another 15 minutes for it to cool down. The sink faucet was rusty. I wanted to print something and they didn't have printing facilities. They don't allow irons in the room! I've never heard of a hotel not having an iron - very strange. They asked to contact staff if we wanted something ironed. I couldn't make outgoing calls, within the city of Lisbon, without incurring a charge. Their facilities are not modern. I will definitely not be staying here the next time I fly in for work. It's too bad - it's so close to everything.…
