We stayed in a twin bed half bath room last month, June, 2013. The first meeting of the owner/manager of the property was not great as he doesn't speak English. This can be overcome if you speak Portuguese or Spanish. The room itself was immaculate but the bathroom was quite awkwardly situated and narrow. Location is excellent, it's 3 steps... More

This is how you get to the Residencial Roxi from the airport: Leave the airport terminal and turn right - you'll see the Aeroporto metro station next door. Go into the station and buy a fare card downstairs, either from the machine or from the wicket around the corner. If you're too jet-lagged to figure out the machine, there's usually... More

$18 Euro per night, shared bath for this price. Includes free fast WiFi, TV, & phone. Now the bad news: This is a 3rd floor walk up, the manager does not speak English, and a cab driver said it is adjoining a bad neighborhood & I should not walk the area after 9 PM. You can read the other reviews... More

This place is above average for the price I think. The internet worked fine. The room was clean and surprisingly quiet given it's right over the subway. The staff were friendly but the key thing(see previous revue) was a bit strange, can't they just cut two keys??

For the price, this was pretty good. The room was clean, and I appreciated having my own shower. I didn't have a problem with noise from other guests; there was some noise from the street, but nothing awful. The people running things were friendly and helpful. Overall, by my standards, this place was acceptable. Things that may be a dealbreaker... More

Easy to find the hotel if you get off at Intendente metro stop. Literally just in front of the door. You have to leave your key with the owners every time you leave and they are available to open the door at any time for you. For a hostel style place I felt very safe, the family live within the... Location is great and within walking distance of Castelo de Sao Jorge and metro station and tram stops right infront. The area around can be a bit rowdy late at night but the hostel is very safe. The bathrooms were clean and the room had a basin. No fan or air con though which can be quite inconvenient during Summer... More

Reception 24/7. 3 stations from the city center "baixa". Very friendly staff. Nice and comfortable place to stay. Maybe a bit noisy at night. 30 € per night for a double room with shared bathroom is adequate.

We spent a week as a family with two almost grown up kids in two rooms in this hotel and have no objections to anything. The rooms lived up to our expectations. They were small but very well maintained and had wifi. The hotel is located very close to downtown and all forms of public transportation as metro, tram, bus... More
