We had a room at the back of the hotel a great view of the mountains. Room was spacious with a mahogany floor and very comfortable beds. The breakfast was outstanding with local fresh produce and a varied selection of breads, cakes and creme caramel as well as the normal breakfast offerings. Has decaffeinated coffee. Eating in the restaurant for...

My husband and I were on an island tour; the occasion was our 30th wedding anniversary and I booked the experience through British Airways prior to departure because I knew that once we arrived on Madeira, we'd be spoilt for choice and probably end up not doing anything. The special day arrived and we boarded the mini-bus for our island...

We were scheduled to stay in another Santana hotel, but on arrival were told the room was not available, and we had been booked into alternative accommodation at O Colmo. What a bit of luck! Duarte at reception helped us out with a really nice room and without asking, sorted out the hotel change with Booking.com. This is a great...

Stayed here as part of a walking holiday in Madeira for one night (wish it had been longer). Quirky because the floor layout is a bit odd ... to get to the the 5th floor from reception you only go up two flights of stairs ... to get to the bar you go through the breakfast room and the dining...

Santana is on the northern coast tourist route, mainly because of the examples of ancient traditional Madeiran houses to be found there. Como hotel is large and modern with ample parking and we had a comfortable room for our one-night stay. It's not only the sole hotel but also the sole restaurant, although there are three fast foodies, including a...

It must have been this hotel where two of our family-members got ill. In the hall on the way to our room there was a disgusting smell, irritating the nostrils. The rooms were sort of oke, not cosy anyway. Didn't get the feeling we were quite welcome too. Think I would search a little further..

This hotel has been booked for us as our last accomodation on Madeira of a one week vacation. Hotel O Colmo is a bit hard to find, there are no signs, but after asking around we finally got to it. The rooms are huge in size, with beautiful wooden floors, a seperate guest room, where you can watch television. The...

The hotel is located about 5 min walk from the village center, adjacent to a large restaurant that appears to be a popular stopover on day trips from Funchal. Rooms are quite nice, with wooden floors, a balcony with a view over the village and the sea, and comfortable beds. The rooms have a TV, but no fan/airconditioning (it's quite...
