We were lucky to have a superior room on 1st floor overlooking the whole length of the gardens and getting the full effects of the Jasmine and other scented flowers. Great time of year. We ate a la carte in the restaurant 3 times and enjoyed the good food. Final night was busy and service a little slow. Good location...

We stayed for four nights in March. The location was good for food and things to do. As others have said it's a good walk into the centre, but a pleasant one along side roads with good paths and a park to walk through if you wish. We walked there and back and it wasn't a problem. Breakfast was fresh...

Just spent a week here with my mum in one of the garden rooms, having been given a very positive review from a close friend, who stayed here a few years ago. Quinta da Casa Branca is absolutely amazing in every way. The gardens are beautiful and very well maintained - lots of tropical trees, shrubs and flowers - with...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this excellent hotel. We had a standard garden room, which was very comfortable and clean. The patio door opened out onto your own private patio area with loungers facing the beautiful gardens. The gardens were exceptional, well kept and a beautiful setting for the hotel. The main outdoor pool was in a very pleasant...

This is a very relaxing hotel. We booked the premium double room with garden view, didn't realise there are two levels of this type of rooms, would highly recommend to request the upper level as its more quiet and privacy. Room is spacious and clean, good range of toiletries. Very nice breakfast. Great location. Tried the Manor House restaurant for...

The hotel is about 15 mins walk (downhill) from the centre of Funchal, and a €8 taxi ride back if, like us, you don't want the uphill walk back after wandering around the town centre. The famous Reid's Hotel is nearby if you want to experience their afternoon tea. The hotel is family owned by one of the old Port...

We have just returned from a weeks stay in this delightful hotel. We were fortunate to be in a suite in the old Manor House which we found comfortable and peaceful. The whole hotel was clean, comfortable and well-run. The hotel gardens are a special feature containing a wide variety of specimen plants, shrubs and trees from around the world....

We have just returned from a week at this delightful boutique hotel and I can only agree with all the glowing comments from previous reviews. The rooms, the staff, the food all excellent. The gardens are spectacular and I cannot imagine how beautiful they will look in a couple of months when everything is in full bloom. The situation is...

There are many good hotels in Madeira with lovely rooms but the thing that sets Quinta da Casa Branca apart is the quality of its staff. From the moment you pull up in its wonderful, botanic gardens and you walk into Reception, you feel a warmth that throughout your holiday is always there. The staff genuinely like each other; they...
