Roberto and Joana were very welcoming and presented us with a glass of champagne while we checked in. We were allowed early access to our room and were pleasantly surprised to see large twin beds as we requested. There was plenty of storage space with a very large mirror on one wall. The bathroom had over bath shower, washbasin, toilet and...

On arrival at the hotel and while checked in we where presented with a glass on champagne. Hotel has a sixties theme throughout the hotel. Rooms where very clean and maid service daily. We stayed in this hotel one week. The room was clean and everything was adequate for a three-star hotel. The roof-top pool was nice and really suitable for evening/sunset time. Breakfast was not very rich, but adequate. This hotel offers good cost/benefit ratio.

We stayed at this 3 star hotel in Funchal for 3 nights. It was in the centre of town, 5-10 minutes walk to the old town and the Cable cars or Marina. Our room was on the first floor facing the street, unfortunately they have just started roadwork right outside our room, so it was very noisy with diggers, not...

5 minutes walk to the Old Town. Feels like you're in Funchal rather than among the numerous hotels in the Hotel Zone. Friendly, helpful staff. Rooms clean and well-serviced. No air-con but good ceiling fan. Good buffet breakfast.

Not the most modern hotel but very comfortable rooms and good breakfast; ideal place to put your head down after a busy day. The rooftop pool had good views of the city and felt very private. All staff were very friendly and seemed genuinely interested in our experiences. One thing we did not expect however, was the added charge to...

Not the most luxurious hotel but comfortable and a good breakfast. We had no hotel booked when we arrived (because our hotel was booked through lowcostbeds which had gone bankrupt or more likely the boss decided to cash his chips in).Antonio was fantastic he found us a room for 2 nights and said to go for lunch and our room...

The hotel was disappointing. The decor doesn't quite pull of retro chic and just looks dated and tawdry. The rooms are small with no air conditioning. They are, however, kept immaculately clean. The breakfast was very basic but there was plenty of it. The staff are the saving grace. They are polite and helpful and the sole reason that I...

Myself and 3 friends were here for a week at the end of May/start of June, this was also my 2nd time at this hotel and the service was even better! The staff were so helpful in every aspect and generally lovely people. We had a 5 person who dropped out of the trip but I forgot to change the...
