Stunning views from our room Seaview 205 pool towels provided rooms cleaned daily staff very helpful. Room service was only used once as we couldn't leave rooms till covid tests came back (only 6 hrs) found expensive and not great however breakfasts very good all covid regulations strictly adhered to Hadd massage in well ess centre which was excellent. Only thing lacking was vending machine for water during night or after bar closes

As Madeirans unable to travel abroad due to the pandemic, we decided to try and spend holidays on one of the island's hotels. We came across Madeira Panorâmico on Booking by accident and decided to give a try. We couldn't be more pleased.

From the quality of the hotel's infrastructure, to the amazing breakfast and dinners, pools and customer service we couldn't be more pleased. The overall package is that you feel 5 stars.

The rooms are quiet, with a nice view and cleaned impeccably. The staff cleaning the rooms, if you come across them, are always polite and smiling.

As for the breakfast the food quality is superb. A great array of cereals, good juices and the nicest chef is responsible for the egg station (after a 2 days of stay and he already new our "the usual").

The quality of the dinners served is up par with other 5 star hotels and Mr. Victor, Mrs. Patrícia and Mr. Carlos Vieira will make that nothing is missing.

At the reception, Mr. Diogo will take care of any request. In our cases was prolonging our stay for 5 extra days. Diligent and ready to guide through to the hotel services you might enjoy during your stay.

The whole hotel has a family ambiance that will make feel cosy while you enjoy its facilities and the island around.

I definitely recommend this hotel as one of the bests hotels to stay in Madeira. We are sure to come back for more stays.

Having just returned from a one week stay at the Panoramico Hotel we would agree with the vast majority of reviews and say that this is a comfortable hotel, with friendly staff, with good food and an outstanding panoramic view of Funchal.

The hotel is immaculately clean throughout and our sea view room on the third floor was comfortable with everything needed for a pleasant stay. Having spoken with some other guests with a "garden view," we would suggest that the cost of an upgrade is worth it just for the view.

All the staff we had dealings with were friendly and helpful. We had need to ask at reception a few questions and they were always helpful. With some of the housekeeping staff you have to remember that their knowledge of English may be limited but we could not fault how our room was serviced.

We opted for the half board option and we always enjoyed our evening meal. The theme of the evening changed daily and there was always a good choice of dishes. Food was served hot and new dishes of the various offerings quickly replaced as one became depleted. Breakfasts were a typical buffet but with a wide choice of hot and cold offerings. At breakfast it was a bonus to sit outside on the terrace. Drinks in the restaurant were very reasonably priced. At all times the staff were very attentive and quick to clear away plates etc that had been finished with.

Given that the hotel is slightly isolated with not a lot of options in its immediate vicinity, something that we were aware of before booking, we tended to spend our evenings in the cocktail bar. Staff were very friendly and drink prices good value. There was entertainment on some evenings but this was variable.

Apart from the pool area we didn't make use of any of the other spa facilities but from what we saw these were comprehensive.

The walk down to Funchal was steep but well worth the effort but we always opted to return via the courtesy bus or the regular service bus that stopped immediately outside the hotel and only cost 1.95 euro.

This was our third trip to Madeira over a period of 30+ years. We had a very enjoyable holiday and if returning again would certainly re-visit this hotel.

We stayed in a family room and a standard twin room but annoyingly they had separated us in the different parts of the hotel. The hotel is comfortable but with a slightly strange layout (having to travel up to the third floor from our room to go across to the reception)! The family room was large and well equipped. The location of the hotel isn't great in terms of local restaurants or shops but they do provide free shuttle buses into Funchal. The views were amazing as you could look over Funchal though.

Breakfast was very good in terms of variety, from hot cooked breakfasts, cold meats, Pastries and bread, fruit and the pancakes which my daughter loved! The BBQ night was very good food but I was shocked at the price when we went to the restaurant one-night for drinks and some chips!

Overall comfortable, not the most family-friendly hotel but for couples it's very reasonable!

We stayed here for a single night and then 3 nights with a group. The hotel is quite large and a bit confusing to maneuver in. The first night our room was in the back on the ground floor very close to the pool but because it was cold, no one was using it. Otherwise they would have sat right at the window of our room. The room was small with furniture that had seen better days and nothing aesthetic about it. That night others in our group complained about sand and other problems with the water in the tub tho we had no problem. There were no tea/coffee facilities in the room when we arrived but these were supplied later because they were part of the tour package. Dinner that night in the restaurant was very limited for vegetarians but plenty of food for everyone else.
During our second 3 night stay we were given a higher room and a half (extra room with single bed and balcony) which made our stay more pleasant. The mattress on the bed was not of the best quality however. We were out of the room all day long but never saw that the hotel had evening activities as someone else mentioned.
During this stay we had problems with the shower water which would suddenly go from warm to scorching hot, cold, warm, scorching, etc. We complained at the desk in the morning but the gentleman looked bored (as if he had heard this complaint before) and said he was have someone check. The problem continued throughout our stay.
The hotel was out of the way but since we had a use of the tour minibus, this did not bother us. In all it was the poorest hotel we stayed at in Madeira. The breakfasts, however, were excellent and if it hadn't been so chilly, I'm sure we would have enjoyed eating on the terrace. On our last morning the group was had to leave for the airport at 6 AM before breakfast and we asked for tea/coffee before leaving. To our surprise we found the dining room open for us and except for the hot dishes that were not yet ready, there was plenty to eat (fresh breads, cheese, fruit, cereal etc). This left a better taste in our mouths!

This hotel is exactly what you see in the pictures and description. The hotel has probably many years, therefore the premises and the rooms are not the most modern nor you should expect high-end decoration. However, everything is clean, organized and it shows it is well taken care of.
The room was smelling lovely when we arrived - I asked for a surprise for my husband (3 year anniversary) and the hotel was kind enough to make sure we had champagne, flowers and nice decoration in our room at our arrival.
The premises can seem like a bit of a maze when you first experience it, but you quickly adapt.
The breakfast is good, has different options both for Mediterranean taste and English breakfast style. We had dinner at the buffet 3 nights out of our 5 nights stay, and it was okay. I wouldn’t say it is the best value for money nor it is the best food I’ve ever ate, but I didn’t have many expectations towards the buffet food to begin with. The soups were very good, then it is standard buffet food. The other restaurant of the hotel is also fine with excellent deserts.
The hotel is quiet (we didn’t hear any noises) and far enough from Funchal to allow you to have a breathtaking view and the peace of being outside of the centre.
Generally the best take out are the views, overall premises (2 pools, tennis court and so on) and the staff. The staff is amazing; friendly, kind, attentive and very knowledgable. 5* for the staff.
We rented a car and didn’t pay for parking so it’s a great plus compared to other hotels in Funchal. Hotel also has a bus service to the centre of Funchal.
If you are looking for an option just outside of the city, excellent location, good price for money and with free parking - this is your choice!

Check-in was a breeze. Staff were polite when approaced but didn't make effort of a courteous nod or hello when passing reception as I find this always makes you feel more welcome at your hotel. Breakfast was limited but this was due to present circumstances. The view from the dining area outsid is stunning on a nice warm day. Pool was very cold for time of year and bar was closed more often than I would have liked but bar staff at he pool were very polite and efficient. Room was good, a little basic and the show mixer was faulty but this can be fixed if addressed. Had noise issues on one evening when our neighbours decided to have the TV on too loud at 4am in the morning so consider the walls to be thin. Thankfully only lasted one evening though. You can walk into Funcal to the harbour but it's a fairly hefty walk downhill, even more so when returning. I consdier myself to be of good health but this did take it's toll after a week of visiting the varios sea front bars and lidos. Of course, there is alway a taxi. I just love the place so like to take it all in by walking as much as possible. All in all, I loved my stay here. It's clean, efficient and the pool bar view is awesome. There are two rows of sea view rooms so beware that one is behind the other if you want a pool and sea view ensure you ask for a front row room. The mountain view rooms look like they are worth giving a miss to be fair! All in all. Fantastic. I'd go back but i'd prefer somewhere that was a little closer to Funcal and the bars and shops.

Lovely hotel in nice quiet residential location with the most amazing views over Funchal and the sea.

The swimming pools and facilities all looked great and very clean but we didn’t have time to use them! Extra charge for the sauna, squash and tennis court. The cafe area around the pool was very relaxing, with great views. There was a restaurant below the pool area but it seemed to be closed apart from a rainy Sunday evening, when we would have gone there had we known it was open. In the past there was always information in the room about hotel facilities but am guessing this has all gone due to covid and cleaning routines.

The hotel and room was spotless and the buffet breakfast was very good. Few toiletries missing, so bring your own, or buy when you arrive, again probably a covid thing. There is also an extra charge to use the room safe. Nancy and the other reception staff were very knowledgeable and helpful with booking activities and providing bus timetables and advice on places to visit as well as taxis to and from the airport, €37 the same metered charge as the yellow taxis from outside the airport.

We occasionally used the hotel shuttle bus to the centre and walked back, uphill but a good way to walk off all those delicious custard tarts! The number 45 bus stops right outside the hotel if you don’t fancy walking back.

We had a great week at the hotel and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks and had a lovely stay. Requested a room on the upper floor, the room was quiet, the views amazing. I read a review saying the room safe had to be paid for, I didn't have this. You use your room key card to set the code and that's it. There was a tray with tea/coffee facilities in the room. The shower was fab, a rain shower, a large enclosed cubicle with showergel/shampoo supplied. Clean towels whenever requested. Breakfast was plentiful, fresh fruit and pastries, cereals, hot food, pancakes and omelettes made to order, a choice of eating in the sunshine, with views over the bay, or in the dining room. Only a 15 - 20 minute stroll in to town or a free shuttle bus from the hotel. Victor and all the staff I spoke with were friendly and worked very long hours. Would I recommend this hotel? Absolutely. One downside for me, the people in the room next to me smoked and the smoke smell came across. Would be better (for me) if smoking rooms were all together.

The a la carte restaurant was open til 10pm, and the latest we went in was 8pm, but folk came in at 9pm too. Contact reception and they'll confirm what latest time is for buffet restaurant. We were B & B, and sometimes just booked on our return from sightseeing. They were very accommodating.

Hi, every room is equipped with Mini Bar, with water, beer, wine, snacks and soft drinks Regarding tea and coffee facilities, it depends on type of room requested, but can be ordered at the reception at a charge. Lactose free milk is available at breakfast. Thank you.

Yes, there is and I believe it’s €27.00 per head in the main restaurant, it will be more expensive in their a la carte restaurant.
