We stayed for 2 weeks in July 15, had a suite for 3 adults, room 32 and it exceeded all of our expectations. The breakfasts were plentiful, varied and we usually went at 930 towards the end of breakfast, there was never a shortage of food. Rooms were cleaned meticulously daily, the pool area is ample and we never had...

We spent a week at Vila Vilencia at the end of June and it was delightful. The location is about a 30 minute walk from the centre of Funchal, but if you are not keen on walking, there is a bus stop at the bottom of the road, you also have a choice of 2 tour buses from here too....

What a wonderful find in Vila Vicencia. Our first trip to Madeira, and I looked to find a small hotel with lots of character - and I found it. The hotel consists of three different houses, all centered round the garden and pool area. We were in the main building and our room was super comfortable - a ceiling fan...

The staff are very polite and friendly. Vila Vicencia provides bed and breakfast and if you like your hot food swimming in grease and your...

Given the reviews I thought I was going to really like place as we do like enjoy smaller, relaxing places to stay on holiday. I reality there was little I actually did like. I booked a Junior Suite directly with the hotel in January for a 2 week stay in June 2015 and received immediate confirmation. About 6 days before...

We have been here on a number of occasions and always found the Vila Vicencia a fabulous little oasis from the hustle of the lido area of Funchal. All the staff are so friendly, they keep the place immaculate and serve a typical maderian breakfast which is best eaten al fresco in the beautiful gardens. We would recommend this little...

My husband and I had a week in Funchal and stayed at the Vila Vincenica. It is probably the best place we have ever stayed. The staff are so friendly and the place is so clean. The gardens and pool area are beautiful. The breakfast is very nice and the homemade cakes are amazing. The room we had was beautiful....
