Stayed for 4 nights. The hotel is basic but clean. Perfectly situated in the old town at foot reach of restaurants, harbour and shops. Excellent value for money with friendly and helpful staff. Worth having a room on the front of the hotel, with a balcony. Breakfast served on the top floor on a terrace peeping over the roofs towards...

I've given this 3 stars but had there been wifi in the rooms I would have given an extra star. Management say the lack of wifi is due to renovation work - they need to get this sorted. Wifi is available in reception and on th 5th floor where breakfast is served. The hotel is ideally situated as it's walking...

Stayed here during a three day work visit to the island. Payed 25 Euros per night using Expedia (5 euros off the Booking website rate). I stayed in a double bed room in the main building with breakfast included in the rate. Good proximity to the city center. I was not driving, hence I'm not sure whether parking would have...

This is a very nice hotel in the city center. Clean room, nice terrace where you can eat breakfast. Hotel service was always helpful and very nice. But the most important advantage is location. Very close to the shore, marina and main square. Price was also very attractive.

Firstly the location is ideal, right in the centre of town (and there is a multi-storey car park nearby), there is a little noise but considering the location it wasn't so bad. Decor is somewhat dated but the (front facing) room was huge and included a great balcony. I didn't find the bed too comfortable but my wife did, and...

We were allocated a room in the annexe round the corner - room 28 at the rear of the property. Outlook on one side a screened barbed wire fence overlooking the school playground - very noisy early morning and throughout the day. Outlook on other side of room onto a dismal tiny yard and concrete wall of adjacent property. I...

The Colombo Hotel is exceptionally good value at 30 Euro for a single en-suite room (Including breakfast) and 35 Euro for a double en-suite room (Including breakfasts) The hotel is clean, has a lift, is run by friendly staff and considering its town centre location, is reasonable quiet. The breakfasts are good with cereals, bread, cheese, ham and tea or...

+ Fine location; friendly enough staff - Rooms smell, are overly hot in summer (especially on top floor) and have ants. Kitchen supplies were very limited and not always clean, towels had burn holes. -/+ We booked a double bet, but got twin bets instead (just got the keys, no apologies or anything). When we explained that we prefered a...

We booked this hotel for a last minute break. We arrived about 9pm to a warm welcome. We had booked self-catering but were given keys to a cupboard in the next door annexe. To say it was small is an understatement. There was only enough space to walk around the bed. The toilet door was right next to the bed...

I booked trough easy jet holidays and it turned out to be room only , I phoned before departure and asked if I could upgrade to self catering. This was no problem and was not charged extra. We stayed around the corner from the main building at number 17 , apartment 35 / fifth floor. This was a bit of...
