The hotel is located near the metro station and just a few meters above the main shopping area. The rooms are small but clean, the towels are changed daily and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The only bad thing is the bed! It was maybe the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on! Too bad because I...

My friend and I were very impressed with this hotel. It was conveniently located for exploring Porto, close to the Metro station. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the local area, and went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. Rooms were clean and spacious. Only disadvantages: our room was on the 3rd floor and there were...

It is a clean, cheap hotel in the center of Porto in the pedestrian market place near to metro station. Great value for money. The oweners are very nice people. One problem is that sometimes there is a smell of cigarettes in the corridors.

The hotel has a great location in the center of Porto. On the otherside, it is quite inconvenient that the doors to the bathroom are not real doors, but just sliding doors, which you cannot close. Otherwise the room is quite small and there is no breakfast, but it is great for the price that you pay.

Arriving at night, the first impression might be that of a cheap and decadent hotel in line with the architectual style of Oporto, but once we where assigned two apartments in the building opposite the frontdesk, the opinion change completely. Full equiped apartments with two rooms ensuite bathroom and full kitchen, tv. Very clean and in order. The apartment on...

We were a group of 5 people and were supposed to stay all together in the same room, but when we arrived the staff proposed us to stay in a real apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, for the same price. We really appreaciated this proposal and were not disappointed. Apartment was clean and everything was OK. If I...

Not very close to the São Bento train station, but close enough for one to be able to walk there and walk around this beautiful part of the town. Simple rooms, not very cozy, but ok for an overnight stay. The lady in the reception was very helpful, she asked for how long we were going to stay, than with...

The Residencial describes itself as being 150 metres from Bilhoa Metro station. I think it is more like 400 and uphill. This matters when one is tired and hobbling around on a dodgy knee. BUT, you know that feeling, "it was so little money when I booked, what is it going to be like?" Well it was a friendly greeting...

Stayed here recently. Like one of the reviews below has intimated, it was cheap, but has some serious limitations. Primarily, the stink from the drain in our double room ensuite. It was clean and - apart from a very creaky bed - acceptable. But the stink from the drain in the toilet eventually drove us out. It wasn't that the...

The good bits - staff were friendly, the room was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable, the balcony overlooked a quiet courtyard and when I asked for a hairdryer it wasnt a problem. It was close to a metro station. The not so good bits - no door, not even a curtain on the ensuite bathroom door nor was...
