This was a great hotel right from the start. Doormen helped with luggage, check-in was swift, and our room was impeccably clean and well-appointed. The breakfast buffet was also consistently good-quality and fresh. Also, the location is really ideal for exploring Porto. The hotel is right on the main square, the beautiful tiled train station is steps away, the waterfront...

I think all the other travelers have summed it up, quite simply one of the best hotels we have stayed at! Staff are superb, decor in the place is sumptuous and the room was lovely. Situated slap bang in the middle of everything. Wouldn't hesitate to return. Porto is ace.

When you manage to fall in love with a city when it's raining I can only imagine during the spring. The Hotel is perfectly located in the middle of everything and absolutely beautiful. A perfect blend of old and new.

This hotel is amazing. As a spire ambassador we were upgraded to a junior suite for the three nights we were here. Beautiful toiletries, lovely welcome food and unbelievable service. The eye to detail was fantastic and all this right in the heart of Porto. If you want to be spoilt go to this hotel as it absolutely lives up...

The hotels offers a great and very comfortable stay in the heart of Porto. Spaceous roooms, great breakfast and super friendly staff. I can totally recommend a stay. The vintage style interior is all top notch. And the location is perfect for exploring the city.

The service was very good and friendly. Spa good but not special. Finnish Sauna was good and massage very good. Only negative point was restaurant not operational due to renovation. That was a pitty as I was looking forwad to dine there but it must be done sometimes. Porto airport is not good when flying private.

This hotel is located on the main square right in the centre of the city which means it is actually on the edge of the historic part and the river is a 15 minute walk down a steep incline. There are cheap and plentiful taxis to take you back up the hill if you don't want to walk. There is...

The hotel helped a lot to be fit and happy every day in Porto. The service is really up to the rank of the hotel: check-in, helpful staff and concierge whose advise you can trust. The recommendation for the restaurant was exactly what I needed. The room was great in size and in decoration. I can recommend suit without any...

The Astoria Restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. The location is perfect, oppoite the gorgeous Sao Bento Railway, with its blue tiled interior, not to be missed. The bar was enjoyable, although a little small. The hotel appeared popular with the Americans. Thoroughly enjoyable stay.

We stayed for 4 nights at the end of January - had a lovely time. The weather was intermittent so to have this really lovely hotel was such a bonus. All rooms were tastefully furnished and so comfortable and clean. The food in the restaurant and bar area was really good. The staff were so helpful. The tour buses are...
