Over a month prior to our stay at Mercure, we had requested for a room on a higher floor in a quiet area, as we were celebrating a birthday and wanted it to be memorable, as it was a 60th birthday. Despite this, during check in we were told that a room on a higher floor was not available. The...

Very well decorated, clean, very nice staff. We had breakfast on Valentine's Day and they served us heart-shaped pancakes with a lovely attitude and everything was so tasty. The room was beautiful, we're so coming back next time we come to Porto

Having just come from a Sofitel to a Mercure says everything. At Sofitel with a Platinum card you are a special guest - not at Mercure where you are just another guest. Even the invitation to a drink excludes wines, spirits and Champagne. As I don't drink beer that leaves very little else. They had the audacity to suggest that...

Had a great time at this hotel. We only stayed here, didn't experience any of the dining nor bar areas of the hotel. The room was a little small, the bathroom was very large, but overall it was a great hotel room for staying in the city - the whole point is to visit Porto! The only issue was that...

The hotel is centrally located and very close to all attractions in Porto. The closest metro/subway stop is some distance away (especially with luggage), but still very manageable. The facility and rooms were good, clean and modern. There is a lounge and large seating area where groups can meet to lounge. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very close to the train station and the shopping área. Sightseeing bus is a good option to tackle the lovely, but unleveled, ground of the city and its neighborhood. A nice place is the Mercado do Bonsucesso, which has good restaurants and eating área, in front of a shopping center near Casa da Música. Afterwards, avenida da...

Driving into the rabbit warren of Porto streets can be a challenge, but this Mercure property is worth it! Excellent location close to everything you want to see and do in Porto - and a great staff to boot! We stayed here 2 days and would come back again tomorrow! Two oddities about the place: look DOWN for the room...
