The white Box was clean and comfortable, Theresa, our host, could not have been sweeter. What we didn't like was the complete absence of character. This place is all about minimalism. There are no colors, no character to the place. When I travel I like to stay in places that embrace the culture, the life of a city. Although the...

- having stayed 3 nights in room 6 - room quality: the mattress was good, bathroom was clean, enough space, very quiet, slept very well even I am a sensitive person by noise. - hotel location: prefect as it just takes 10 mins walk to the Pont Luiz. Found easily for the restaurants, supermarket, parking, shopping points and sightseeing spots....

The accommodation is elegant and visually pleasing if a little clinical.Suitable for independent travelers. The location is excellent. The garden that features in the photographs on the website is not accessible due to the neighboring property changing hands, we were told.

A friend and I stayed in room #6 for 2 nights and it was a great experience. There is no sign or marking on the entrance, you have to look for the address number. It's right off of the main street with tons of cafes and little stores to buy anything you need for your trip on the same block,...

This place was not really easy to find, there is no real sign outside. Use the street number to find it. The place is very clean and peaceful. We really liked the high ceilings and the decoration. Our rooms were so cute (number 5 and 6)! The location is right on one of the shopping street very close to any...

Where to start. Apart from the fact that it does not operate like a regular hotel (more of a guesthouse), I have never received such good customer service. The staff is friendly, the breakfasts are delicious, the space is beautifully/thoughtfully decorated, and the location is spot-on. Right on the ideal walking street of Santa Catarina, if you weren't looking for...

We stayed at the White Box House for 4 days in February 2016. The House is situated at the end of a vital shoppingstreet in the very centre of Porto. The house itself is, with relatively simple material, tastefully decorated. Everything works well. The house and the rooms are very, very clean!! The people in the house have a high...

White Box is beautiful. The photos, whilst lovely, don't do the place justice. I stayed in 2 of the rooms - both comfortable, spacious and clean. The staff where extremely helpful and the breakfast was great. The jams and fresh cakes being my favourite! It's in a great location to explore Porto.

What not to like about this cute little B&B. Very good hygiene, very nice people that are willing to give you loads of information. Perfect location, most important sights within walking distance. Comfortable beds, very nice breakfast. Well maintained building. Great shower. Metro station very close. One of the best in Porto, defenitely worth the money. 5* no doubt about...

What strikes you on arrival at The White Box House in Oporto is not just the warmth of the welcome. It is also that Alex and his two co-owners had a clear and consistent vision, and how well they have made this vision a reality. Adopting a minimalist approach to the refurbishment and decoration - stripping away extraneous features not...

The White Box House is a typical Oporto house dating from the beginning of the 20th century, which has been refurbished and modernised for fitting general standards of comfort without losing the charm of a period building. The White Box House is situated in the centre, on its best known pedestrian shopping street, where one can find the emblematic Cafe Majestic and which has easy access to the underground railway (2 minute walk), railways and buses.
