Stayed here for only one night but we really enjoyed it. The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean. The hotel decor is quite amusing with the retro decorations taking you back to the 70's. The location is fantastic being at the center of the city

Fantastic location. Cordial, helpful staff. Loved the interior spiral staircase and vintage décor. Rooms plain but very clean. Excellent breakfast. One of the best restaurants in Porto across the street.

The hotel is centrally located in Porto walking distance to one of the main metro stations. The nearby plaza ond the riverside is quite close and well connedted with public transport. Having breakfast in the balcony was really nice.

The owner is an avid toy and nostalgia memorabilia collector and he has his treasures at the reception and on each floor of this first floor hotel. Even famous celebrities have slept here in this 1930s Modernist building. Worth a visit even if you don't stay here. Well located in this lovely holly city. Comfy beds. Very friendly atmosphere at...

At the moment I have been overcharged £150 by the hotel on two rooms I booked and am struggling to get it back!!!! Booking.com processed a "pre payment" although the website clearly stated "no pre payment" the hotel charged the full price and did not understand what I was trying to dispute. On top of this both rooms smelt heavily...

The decor is amazing, around the huge deco staircase at least. Beautiful old items from the top to the bottom. The room I had was both functional and comfortable, with a bonus of a shared balcony. Shower / tv etc. were all fine and the breakfast was adequate. Good location too, and the staff were friendly and helpful. For what...

I really liked the style of the hotel, like remembering old times, but a few things could have followed modernity, like: I really missed a safe for keeping money and documents as well as a better wifi connection (it worked, but not very well). Breakfast was really good, no complaints about that, and the bathroom had been renewed, differently from...

The hotel is in a great location in the city center. Just a few steps from the metro, bus lines, restaurants and a big market. It is about about 10 minute walk to the Douro river. The room is spacious, old futniture but clean and confurtable. Bathroom looked new an a big size. Breakfast is simple but enough for everyone....

The hotel was interesting, like it had been established in the 50s and they had decided to make it a boutique affair by adding lots of nostalgia rather than modernising it. That said, it was clean, warm and the staff were very helpful. We only had breakfast on the first morning though, despite having paid for it in advance, as...

We stayed for a couple of nights in October prior to moving to an apartment for a month, so we were looking for something for just a quick stay and opted for this one as it looked interesting, And interesting it is. Architecturally, it is in the 1930's modernist style - it looks very much like the large cinema s...
