Booking .com arranged a free taxi to the hotel, so thank you! Hotel is wonderfully positioned as other have commented, at end of a long pedestrian street leading to the centre of town and 5 mins to the rail station,. Bed is very comfortable memory foam mattress, room is large with a pink roll top bath. FREE minibar too what is better than putting your feet up with a beer after sight seeing. We have not used the restaurant but it looks good and reasonable priced. There is a small cafe immediately outside the door too and 3 good restaurants across the road Highly recommended

This is an absolute gem of a hotel! Location is fantastic (although I don't know if it would be too loud during high season). The rooms are cozy, clean and picturesque. We were on the 2nd floor and had a fabulous view of the plaza and other iconic buildings. The staff was friendly, helpful and the restaurant serves delicious breakfast buffet. Highly recomended!

This is an absolutely fantastic hotel. The location is amazing, the staff was very polite and gracious, and the rooms are magnificent. The complimentary mini bar was surprising and a really nice touch. If you stay here you can walk to just about anything and can save some fees on canna and buses.

We stayed 4 nights over a long weekend, and so glad I chose this hotel. Its in a quiet location on a pedestrianised street, although we did have a busker outside one evening at bed time. Easy walk to most of the city and stations. The rooms are stylish and carefully designed, all cool grey and white with natural wood. Loved the chest and magazine rack for bedside tables. We had an ensuite shower which was powerful - minor niggle was that towels didn't dry well as there was no heating in the shower room, this meant we changed towels more than necessary. Oh an lovely toiletries from across the road, Portueus Cale. Tea and coffee making facilities, but sadly only instant coffee - we always take our own cafetiere! Soft drinks and snacks from the mini bar were free. Breakfasts were amazing - so much choice, freshly squeezed orange and mounds of fresh fruit. The hot buffet was so so we mainly had hams and smoked salmon, with small pastries. Overall great value and highly recommend staying here. Will review restaurant separately, also excellent.

Just returned home from a two night stay and are already planning to return. The location is great, the restaurant excellent but the real jewel is the staff. They really could not be more friendly, professional and helpful. Muito Obrigado meu Amigos! See you again soon - Duncan & Za (PS save Za a pasteis de nata)
