All Vigo hotels were full so my colleagues and I managed to find rooms in this hotel. As it turned out even though it was over the Portuguese border it was very close to our workplace which was a plus. It was clean. Thats it! The staff were friendly and breakfast was very basic but no mini bar, chilly room... More

As noted in other reviews, rundown. But that was no surprise. The fact that early September is a holiday in Portugal and there were NO open restaurants in this area of Valenca....including our hotel's restaurant. ..was a bummer. We bought food at a supermarket and a staffer at the hotel graciously set us up to eat dinner in the breakfast... More

We stayed at a 3rd floor room with balcony. Great views for the main avenue, mountains and pool. All property is quite dated... not very well maintained. The breakfast room was not very well cleaned. The pool is open to locals, paying a fee. We can understand this... Very friendly staff. Comfy beds. Great location. Free parking area. Breakfast variety... More

Good location if you're on the Camino. The fortified city close by is very cool. My room on the 3rd floor had a nice large balcony. We had dinner and breakfast here which was very good. I was there in June and the pool was not yet ready.

I agree completely with HenryWorthing's review. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good with (amongst other things), nice fresh bread and coffee, plus delicious walnut cake. Maybe the whole place could be improved with a bit of a makeover, but it's fine as it is, and provided really terrific value.... More

The hotel is located on the main road. Very large and safe inside parking, opposite to the main entrance are also parking spaces. Room are equipped well, minibar with very nice prices. Clean and calm rooms althoug windows to the road. Large pool in the garden was unusable for lack of water. Breakfast was standard, good coffee.

Clean and tidy, nice and cozy. Great breakfast and awesome pool. Stayed 2 nights, didnt expect much but got full treatment. The only thing was view from our window but at the end, really doesnt matter. Surely we will come back one day.

This hotel is excellent value. Clean and comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. Bring located an easy 10 min stroll from the "Fortaleza" you can forget the car. For exploring the region the hotel is close to bus and train stations as well as being on an excellent access road. Have stayed here before and will come again.

A bit out of town, on the main road south, but worth the trek. ( Reviewer HenryWorthing suggests five minutes, but hey, he's a Camino veteran - took me ten.) The walk up to the Fortaleza very much worth the time, if only for the terrace bar of the Pousada with views across the river to Spain. Just north of... More

Picked this hotel for a one night stay at the beginning of my Camino. Taking into account the price, I wasn't expecting much. I was very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is in the modern part of the town about a five minute walk from the railway station and about fifteen minutes from the fort. The reception staff speak excellent English... More
