Even with road works it was relatively easy to find the shopping area. Desk staff spoke english and were very helpful. Only 5 minutes to the pick up point for the On-Off bus. Rooms quite warm. Windows different to ours here in NZ which caused some confusion (I thought it was broken)!

The hotel is located near Gare du Nord train station around a 10 minute walk or you can take Tram line 4 to Rogier from Gare du Midi Eurostar which is quicker. Then it is a 10 minute walk again to the hotel. The hotel is near the red light district but it is also opposite the biggest police station...

Pros: Good location: Brussels-North Railway Station is only 10 min away. Place Rogier and Rue Neuve, the commercial district, are 5-10 min away. Nice rooms, newly renovated I think. Free Wi-Fi is provided. Good breakfast. Helpfulness of the staff. Cons: Wi-Fi has a mediocre speed. Promiscuous surroundings, the hotel is currently in an area of redevelopment and streets behind the...

Sounded ok as it was a Best Western. However I just felt it didn't live up to Best Western's normal level. It was reasonable close to a major restaurant area, if you walk in the right direction. Equally close to the Botanic Gardens, a major road underpass and what seemed to be a 'red light' area. Didn't feel as though...

Stayed at Best Western City Centre Hotel on an overnight trip to Brussels. Staff at check in was polite ,accommodating and could speak English. Room was comfortable, with the basic amenities provided. Hair dryer was also provided in the bathroom. Bathroom and toilet were separated. Hotel isn't exactly in the city centre but within walking distance (about 20-25 minutes) from...

We were attending a conference in central brussels this hotel was a long walk from there. the area is scary after dark. The hotel was average, the room very small and hot with no air con. We were disturbed by police sirens so did not get a good nights sleep. The staff were helpfull but check in took too long...

Booked the rooms based on the pictures of the lobby/bar/reception along with the Best Western standards and man, was I fooled. No air-conditioning on a hot night, bad area, noisy, tiny and drab room, no parking. Breakfast was powdered eggs. I paid a decent rate but would find another hotel next time.

Although the hotel was fine - clean, good breakfast, air-conditioned - the staff were not all helpful (one refused to change a 10 euro note to allow us to use the hotel pay phone) and the area was very unpleasant - especially at night. Close to North station, but the wrong side of railway bridges for comfort - in midst...
