Me and my friend really enjoyed this hotel! The room and bathroom were very nice. The staff was always helpful when we had questions about public transportation or the tourist destinations we were going to. They also have cards of different places to visit in the lobby which was really helpful and gave us more ideas of where to go....

The hotel was clean and comfortable. It has an excellent location in the centre. Walk out the door, and you will find yourself in the outdoor food market, facing tables of fruits and olives. The breakfast was very good. The hotel staff was terrific, particularly Amanda, whom we could count on to answer our inquiries daily, while we had breakfast....

Just spent two nights here and it was a good. Great location - an easy walk down to some of the key city hotspots for restaurants, etc.& possible to walk (if you like a walk and don't mind some hills) to the Acropolis and other major tourist attractions. It's only a short walk from the Monastaraki train station so you can...

ACS hotel has a very good location. Walking distance from all the main attractions. It is clean and value for money. Its entrance is literally in the fruit market but not as noisy as one would think. Recommended.

The hotel is situated in the central market area of Athens. The location is excellent for the main visitor attractions; we were able to walk to most and underground stations are nearby for slightly longer journeys. A small roof-top bar was not open in February, but the views across to the Acropolis were still spectacular. It is not, however, a...

The hotel is situated in the city centre next to the central square between Monastiraki and Omonoia. The upper floors have good vision, breakfast is excellent, cleanliness is also very good. The rooms are very nice, each floor has a different color.

Nice budget hotel, fairly clean with very good breakfast, and a very helpful lady at the reception. The location is great. The rooms are ok, nothing special (you get what to pay for) but the Akropolis view changes everything and lifts your spirit up! Definitely recommended!

Never judge a book by it's cover. Dont get intimidated by the location or rumors. We arrived at around 10:00pm on New Year night by metro from airport dismbarked at Monastiraki station, a 7 minute walk takes you straight to the hotel which is located on your left. The hotel is located centrally and equdistant from Omonia or Monastiraki stations,...

When we arrived, we were very surprised to see the doors to our hotel right in front of the vegetable market... and then we went in those doors to be just as surprised to see how bright and fun it was inside. Staying in Omonia

Neighbourhood Profile
Omonia
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
