Hotel is in a very quiet area, I mean there is nothing around there! Very near metro station, staff at reception are friendly. Stayed in two rooms, both very noisy from the street, despite I complained about the noise. (first room also noisy from the lobby). Both shower rooms have problems. Breakfast was poor. Not much hot food choices.

We took a taxi who attempted to overcharge us based on the meter. When you fall in line for a taxi, make sure to take a photo of the sign that it is a FLAT FEE OF €35 or €38. NOT based on meter - regardless of distance. Take a photo of the license plate & if possible, the driver... More

Budget hotel in a nice area of Athens. Close to Public Transport, or just few kilometres walking distance to Acropolis etc. Free breakfast with booking, great selection of food and drinks. Room was clean, enough space for couple travellers. Highly recommended! P.S. Watch for pickpockets, my phone was stolen while visiting the area around Acropolis!

We booked this hotel on short notice not quite knowing where was the best place to stay in athens. But we weren't disappointed. We had a corner room, which was quite spacious and the bed was very comfortable (big factor in my ratings). The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful, especially Hollis... we were looking for a place... More

Clean, but small rooms, tiny TV, lousy wifi, average breakfast, but friendly helpful staff. The wifi was so poor, that I had to go the reception for a half decent signal. The staff were friendly and service minded. Breakfast was very average. I would most likely look for something else, next time in Athens.

Athens Lotus Hotel's features are advertised incorrectly on two travel websites - Hotels.com and Hotwire. There is no self-service laundry facility or any laundry facility at all. The hotel offers dry cleaning service only, beginning @ 2 euros per shirt. We booked this hotel specifically because of advertised laundry facilities, so we didn't get off to a good start at... Small rooms. Tiny TV. Sheets were stained and old. Bathroom shower is very small. Elevator was very shaky preferred to take the stairs. Not a hotel area, more residential. Not at all a 4 star hotel as advertised. Manager was rude. Not a family hotel. With the same amount you spend here you can spend a few dollars more and... More

We usually travel pretty low budget, but I think this was the smallest room we ever stayed in. There wasn't even room for suitcases. We left them in the already tiny hall from the bed to the bathroom. We passed by a room being cleaning that looked a lot better than ours, so they do have nicer rooms. Staff was... More

I had a wonderful ten day stay in the Athens Lotus in October. This hotel is very comfortable, clean and fresh. The location is very central and has an authentic Greek feel, there is a very colourful market on the street on Wednesdays but the hotel's most outstanding feature is its staff. They are highly competent, so courteous and helpful... More

I have no real complaints, so don't take three stars as anything other than "average": the room was small but clean, the air conditioning inflexible - either too hot or too cold, but livable with. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The location is good for the metro but beware - you seem to be about 250 metres or... More
