I went there for breakfast, just to check the rooftop and the views. It was worth it. You can have a decent buffet breakfast, relatively cheap, and enjoy a quiet atmosphere, while checking on the vibrant city below and looking at the Acropolis at the...More
This is my favourite hotel in Athens, conveniently located opposite Monastiraki and next to the bohemian Psiri. The views from the hotel towards the Acropolis are superb and the hotel has a tremendous vibe.
This was my second stay and I love it. The staff, the warm colors in rooms and restaurant makes me feel at home. Very nice beds. Top roof bar/restaurant with retro music, fabulous view of Acropolis and friendly staff. With the main shopping street, metro,...More
The hotel just located right at the Monastriaki area. All the attractions site able to reach within walking distance. Rooms are clean and spacious. The roof top bar is a perfectly spot in the night. Is an A product!
You get out of the metro station, enter the monastiraki square and bam! A for Athens is there- bang in the middle of city square madness! For people who don’t mind congested hotel location, this is perfect as its walking distance from the Acropolis and...More

Side-by-side neighbourhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of
Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.

You had better email the hotel for this concern but normally the hotels in Greece are very helpful and hospitable to their guests so I do not think there should be any problem leaving your belongings with the hotel provided that you'll be back staying with them again after your trip to the island.

Yes, tube/metro/underground (call it what you will) runs directly from the airport to outside the hotel (Monastiraki) and takes 40 minutes. The hardest part is finding the ticket office (which only takes cash) and the metro platform (as there are local trains there as well) in the airport!!

"Opt for a room on the 4th floor or higher facing the Acropolis. More expensive but worth it."
