I stayed here for one night (after 3 nights at another hotel in Athens). The entrance to the hotel is unassuming, with a small reception area. The room was not ready when I checked in, but I was informed it would be ready shortly. I told the receptionist (Vaios?) that I would go for a coffee and return later for...

I was so excited to arrive at this hotel, and upon arrival in our room I was stunned by the view! It was really great (room 43). The room was bigger than we expected. It is also in a great location, close to most of the archeological sites. The hotel is in Monastiraki Square, which we didn't realize is an...

A for Athens is mostly a Hotel (rooms and apartments. On the roof of the building is a bar with a stunning view of Monastiraki and the Akropolis. Friendly staff, prices are ok and the view is the best.

If you are looking to be in center of things, close to the train close to action then this is definitely the hotel to stay at. You are surrounded by many restaurants shopping area nightlife and within walking distance of the Plaka district as well. Also, we took the metro from the airport to them on us to Monistraki station...

I recently stayed in this hotel with my wife, facing the side street. My in-laws were in a separate room, facing Monastiraki Square. We were both on the 4th floor. The hotel is very central and convenient for the major archaeological sites. There are also some good points - the rooms are large, the bathroom is large with BIG showers,...

Great place to stop in for a cocktail. Awesome view of Athens and tasty specialty cocktails! The Athens cobbler was delicious! They do serve food as well, but didn't have enough time to try. Bad is located upstairs in a hotel. Funky elevator to get to the top. There is indoor seating as well,, but it is smoking. They have...

The first thing that you notice when you enter here, is the size of the room. It is big and modern with a good size bed and plenty of space to store your things. The bathroom is also a good size with plenty of towels, bathrobes and many toiletries. We were provided with ear plugs but genuinely didn't need them...

This hotel is centrally located in monastiraki, the rooms are very spacious and clean and very modern. The rooftop bar has amazing view of the Acropolis. Great service good choice of food, breakfast was sufficient, the location is awesome if you want to be in heart of the city and have easy access to public transport, taxis and walking distance...

The hotel is across the street from a main tourist square. This means perhaps the best direct views of the Acropolis in the city and only a three minute walk to the Agora, but it also means a lot of street noise. Our first night, we managed to break midnight with jet lag and our second night we enjoyed a...

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighbourhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighbourhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
