We have just returned after a great 6 days holiday to Athens. The hotel is in a good upmarket area and is safe to walk around at night. Although it is far from the airport (45min to 1hr) by bus, it is 5-7 min walk from the underground station and 3 min from the bus stop. The buses all take...

I asked the Forum for some advice on hotels and this one was suggested. It was not only great value - 160 euro for two people for two nights and that included a good quality breakfast, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and well laid out and the prices for drinks and meals were well...

This is a very good hotel. It is close to a metro stop and therefore very easy to get around to all of Athens' wonderful sights. It is situated off of a main busy street, so the traffic noise in most rooms is not bad (considering traffic in Athens is a nightmare this is a good thing). The front desk...

Stayed at the Alexandros from Dec 15 to Dec 29, 2008 and was thoroughly impressed with the overall experience. Also they were the ONLY hotel in Athens to give me a truly reasonable discount for my extended stay AND provide me with a studio unit (Senior Suite)... by the way the hotel photos don't do this room justice.... so I've...

We stayed in this hotel for a total of three nights. One night before a trip to Cyprus and Crete and two nights after our trip. The room we had for the first night was horrid. A dirty inside room that was tiny. Fortunately we only stayed there one night. When we came back we asked for a bigger room...

I relate with some of the other reviewers of this hotel. I agree that the girl in reception was at times rude and I must say not very professional. We booked via an internet site which allowed us to hire the Silver Suite for ourselves and our 12 year old. When checking in she was aksing is how it is...

Same procedure as always for me. I read the reviews, try a hotel out and realise that "great location" means "extremely loud traffic noise" This hotel is awful for that. Only one way to sleep: close and lock the windows and try to sleep with the air/con drafting cold air over you all night. USA citizens might like that, Europeans...

Probably the location of the Airotel hotel is one of the best things going for it. Very close to the American Embassy, just off main road and opposite nice appartement buildings. The area is also very safe. Metro station is 5-10 minutes walk from the front door, and you only need to change 1 line for very quick journey to...

Although they state on line that rooms are equipped with trouser press and iron & iron board, when I arrived, they informed me that there's no such a thing and the only option is to give my clothes for ironing. Of course, they charge 5 Euros for pants (not slacks, the docker ones) and 4 Euros for a polo shirt....

Lucked out for sure. Booked a regular room at a great rate and got the executive suite! Location right on the metro line to the airport, 2 stops to syntagma, so close to the main attractions. Good place.
