Located in trendy Psyrri, the hotel is right around the corner from a lot of coffee places where locals hang out. It's on a quite busy street and if, like me, you were unlucky enough to be put on the street side of the building, you will be using your earplugs for sure. Indeed, the marble corridors magnify every sound...

I suggest this accomodation most of all for his position really in the center, very near to the parlament and to two important metro stations, that are connection stations between two different lines. Rooms are not so big but confortable and clean, and with balcon! Only think that was not perfect in that accomodation: personal was not so kind...

THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MANY YEARS OF TRAVEL. The older woman there who i am guessing is the co-owner with her husband was maybe bordering on being mad- she was TERRIBLY mean from the start and appeared to enjoy saying NO, including to me borrowing a chair form the breakfast room to use at the desk...

The rooms are small and in need of updates but we didn't spend much time in the room so that was not an issue. The common area on the roof has a fantastic view of the Acropolis at night which was worth the stay in my opinion. Breakfast was included and was fine. I'd stay here again if we went...

Before booking, we read good reviews on the location and rooms. After looking thru the pictures we were convinced that this was the place for us. Upon arrival, the elderly gentleman at the reception counter was obnoxiously rude and short of hearing, NOT friendly nor helpful, and speaks to you in a condescending tone. The lift in the hotel was...

My family arrived after calling the hotel ahead of time and asking for their rate for 3 people. We arrive, check in, and go to our room. Later in the night, we leave for dinner, and when we return at around midnight, the front desk person followed us to our room and demanded an extra $30 for the third person,...

First, let me state I feel that the proprietors of this hotel take their jobs as positive representatives of the Athens tourism community seriously and to heart....HOWEVER, there are many areas where the quality of the place could use upgrades. First and foremost, the very simple upgrade of mattresses that arrived in Athens before the Parthenon would be greatly appreciated.....my...

When I arrived, I had been upgraded from a single room to a doubloon the rooftop terrace. Thank goodness! That room was so small, I have bruises on my legs from trying to walk around the room (and I'm very used to European small rooms). It was clean - it was safe - and the staff was helpful. After all...

This was my first time in Athens and I was told this hotel is perfect for its location and a great value for the price. We arrived early and were told we couldn't check in. Understandable. What was not so easy to swallow was the demeanor of the owner(?) an arrogant, elderly Greek male who acted like he was doing...

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
