The rooms are disgusting, worst neighborhood, the night manager was rude, unprofessional and extremely aggressive. We only wanted to stay one night for a few hours and he could not cooperate, disgusting bathrooms. I would rather have stayed on the road than come here. Just book anywhere else. This place is the worst hostel I have ever lived in.

We arrived fairly late and could not access the wifi and could not get the air conditioning going. The front desk guy was almost no help. The bed has mould growing ON IT. The bathroom was small, the shower curtain didn't come down long enough to make any difference, it was too small to turn around in without bumping the...

Easily located to the local metro but the area seems a little rough. We were two females traveling together who don't get spooked easy but we didn't want to go out at night... Beds were relatively new and comfortable, rooms were clean but very warm as our air conditioning wasn't working. If you don't like the smell of cigarettes, don't...

First of: the neighborhood is not great. And that is, and at the same time is not, a euphemism. It's a run down neighborhood and everything smells like urine outside. It is quite the bad neighborhood, but nothing really dangerous or anything. The rooms are damp and quite warm, especially the bathroom is like a sauna after one person has...

Athens has been hit hard by the financial and migrant crisis and is not looking it's best these days, sadly this hostel, considering it is in the city centre is in one of the least hopeful looking areas. It is quite a walk (about 30 mins) to the Acropolis though some less than happy looking streets. That said the hostel...

We did a 30 days trip around european countries, and this is definitely the worse hostel that we stayed. First, we asked for a private room with a double bed, and we got two single beds. When we asked to change, they said that there was none available, just on the next day. Early in the morning we asked to...

We had booked a med experience and the tour started with one night here at the start and one at the end. Rooms were decent size with air conditioning which is pretty necessary in Athens especially in July! Staff were good and we had a small breakfast to take when we left at 5am for our ferry to the island....

The climate and the economic exploitation of Greeks in the EU,appears to throw lots of possibliies for entrepreneurs. I always have had the best experience when staying in a youth hostel and this also has no exception. We need a bit of cleanliness.and fewer members staying in the dormitory, otherwise it is a good place to stay.

Good place to stay in Athens, the International Youth Hostel is near Metaxourghio metro station and there is a cheap and good coffee in the morning. There is restaurants, markets and stores near it. The owner is a very resolutive person and the laundry service is cheap and very good as well.

Thank Otavio G
