The staff were very helpful and friendly, especially Panos. Very convenient location -- initially seemed a little dicey but got use to it. Great breakfast and fabulous view of the Acropolis from the rooftop breakfast area. Have booked it again for our return through Athens.

The hotel is conveniently located near Monastiraki metro, really close to the Acropolis. The area has a lot of restaurants, shops and a flea market. All major tourist places (ie Archaeological museum, Acropolis, Agora, Greek Parliment, etc) are within easy walking distance or a short bus ride (if you are lazy). However, the walk from the station to the hotel...

This is great hotel- very close to the main sites- staff is very helpful and nice. We were very satisfied with our choice and would stay here again. Area is safe- and very well connected- only 500m from the metro station that runs to the airport

Great choice !!! Metro stops "Monastiraki" is just a few steps away. Shopping area, Acropolis, Syntagma, taverns.......whatever you need is close by !!! Rooms are clean and well equipped, staff is very helpful and polite and the roof terrace bar, where a really tasty breakfast is served every morning, is simply wonderful, with a great view ( the Acropolis!!! )...

The area does look a bit shady with all the graffiti but it is like that in Athens everywhere. Being Chinese, we spoke to the local Chinese shop owners around that area and they said the area is pretty safe but to be cautious should always go out with another person. The breakfast is decent and the rooms are very...

We had a very good experience of staying in the hotel. Sara, the receptionist, was a very charming, friendly and efficient lady who answered all our queries patiently and also called up the bus station to check the timings for buses to Delphi. The location in downtown Athens is good and very safe. It is full of shops run/staffed by...

Reading the reviews regarding the run-down nature of the area, we hesitated to book; however, the hotel is central and was within our budget so we went ahead. OK, the immediate area suffers from unoccupied buildings, but it is well lit and we never felt unsafe walking back well after dark (we are 60 & 50 years of age). There...

Hotel was nice, and rooms were good, with soft beds. However the bathroom was too small and no shower curtains were provided, resulting in the floor getting all wet everytime we took a bath. Location was off the main street, so although it was near Monastiraki Square, it still feels a bit shady when it gets dark.

We stayed in the Evripides Hotel at the beginning of February for 3 nights and it was really good choice. The area around hotel looks a bit scary, but it is not as bad as it looks. The first impression may be bad, but believe me it is safe. There is lots of Asian shops, empty houses, lots of graffiti...
