Lovely hotel in beautiful architecture of central Athens. Historic exterior design with a modern flair to the lobby. Exceptionally clean lovely balconies to enjoy the sight and sounds of the busy central old center city. A comfortable sidewalk cafe for dinner and good food add to the complete experience. Very kind and helpful staff that will fulfill your every need....

I stayed here for 2 nights in Athens. The room was small and there was no air conditioning. The bathroom got water everywhere when you took a shower, but it was clean when we arrived. The location is not the best, we took a metro about 10 minutes to get to the Acropolis. But the staff was so friendly and...

Even the front door was a really peacefull. It is strange that this is just a hotel but one of the best soulaki is here. location is perfect it is very very close to metro, also if you dont want to take the metro, taxi is almost cheap. Rio is very economical and extremely safe compared to most of the...

On our last leg of our Greece vacation, we wanted a short stop in Athens to see the Nations capital and it's historical sites and museums. This Hotel was perfect for us as it was able to accommodate our family of 5. The staff were very friendly, the girl at the reception greeted us with a smile and gave us...

I had to find a hostel/hotel in less than an hour at 11:30PM, I was in Thessaloniki airport heading to Athens. I was supposed to stay at a friend's place but she had to travel that evening. I knew about this matter an hour before I had to take my flight back to Athens. I looked into trip advisor and...

On arrival to the hotel with friends of mine we found that we had two rooms booked and the reception found it best to allocate who stays in what room. The rooms were dated and the breakfast consisted of 1 tray with 1 slice of meat, 1 slice of cheese and a shard boiled egg already prepared for collection. The...

I stayed at the 5* Melia Athens on my last trip to Athens in the summer and thought I'd book a cheaper budget hotel for a four day break in January . I read lots of reviews of the Rio Athens hotel and was a bit worried because I'd read them on one site when I booked and the reviews...

I'm not sure where to start, so I'll just dive in. This is one bizarre hotel. The reception was manned by two very elderly gentlemen in mismatched clothing, neither of whom looked at nor greeted me when I arrived to check in. One of them took my 50 euro note and put it in his wallet, while the other gave...
