The location was a few minutes walk fro Monisteraki station, and walking distance from everything we wanted to see. We had a double room, the matress and pillows were the most comfortable I have ever experienced in 15 years of holidays in Greece. The room was cleaned well daily, and plenty big enough. Not a problem for us, but our...

Two minutes walk from Monastiraki Square. You can catch a train straight from the airport to here ... so super easy ! It is in the old part of town, so you are right nearby all the sights ... fantastic location ! Hint ... for dinner ... explore the streets behind you ... (not on the Acropolis side!) less touristy...

Great location, close to metro. I made some amazing connections in my room and had a blast in that aspect. Great view of the Acropolis from the roof bar. It could use some ambience, but it's nice to just enjoy the view. The feel is more like a hotel, the staff seemed indifferent. On the downside, the lockers are located...

We stayed here for three nights. I stayed in the dorms while my parents stayed in a private room. The female dorms were very small but functional (just one night the AC didn't work properly). On the contrary, the private room had a beautiful view and enough space for two persons (nothing fancy of course!). The hotel has a roof...

Very close to Monastiraki and the Bazaar. Awesome views from the rooftop and my window. I stayed in a 4 Female dorm. Very clean!! - Thank you!! The bathroom is small, but in the room. The shower is without curtains, the water just goes on the floor, but it's ok for me. The first night was good, but it was...

Stayed at this cute little hostel in Athens recently and was very happy with it. Amazing location - right in the heart of the city! The rooms are quite tiny, the lift is also very small, can only fit two people maximum or one person with baggage. I have to say the rooftop bar definitely makes up for it though!...

Small but comfortable rooms! In the heart of monastiraki. Close to restaurants and bargin shopping. Rooftop bar opens at 7pm and it has the most amazingg view of athens at night, you cannot beat it. Maria the bartender is also really lovely and let us play our music which was pretty awesome!

If you want to be on the doorstep of Ancient Greece then you can't get any closed. From the rooftop terrace you can almost reach out & touch the Acropolis. The staff are friendly & informed offer that traditional Greek hospitality. It is a hostel so there are a number of room options. I stayed in a four bed dorm...

For young people or people who appreciate a clean room mainly to sleep, a clean bathroom and WiFi. It is close to Monastiraki and all the three rooms a booked had a view on Acropolis. The personnel is very friendly and helpful. I recommend it.

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighbourhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighbourhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
