Acropolis views from the sun lounge pool/bar amazing. Friendly, helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The quality, surroundings, breakfast, facilities and general ambience were excellent. Lack of sun loungers meant you had to be quick. People would hog them & leave towels on them when not using them. The Jacuzzi was cold.

We arrived tired from our flights and I unfortunately obtained a lot of swelling in my knees from the flight. The desk attendant saw my discomfort and sent a bag of ice too my room for my knee. The next morning at our continental breakfast we were impressed with the quality and quantity of food. All was fresh and well...

Not a great reviewer but had to commend the staff at Melia for looking after us so well. Good sized rooms with good air conditioning, however the breakfast cost of 19 euros pp doesn't meet up to the mark. The locality of the hotel is in Omania which has its own issues however the food and the drink around the...

Front desk staff in the evening and morning were rude and couldn't be less helpful. We felt we were doing them a favor by staying there. Problems with plumbing and TV. Stayed for one night. 4 star hotel? I don't think so.

Short city break for wife and I, staff friendly and professional. Rooms spotless and comfortable. Roof top pool and bar was amazing. Minor gripes only, drinks very expensive compared to restaurants, lack of sun beds on roof. Also breakfast area didn't have enough tables and chairs thus created waiting times of 5_15min. Hotel is only a short walk from key...

The shell: quite a "rough" part of Athens, with closed shutters at night with a lot of graffiti, but also cosy restaurants just around the corner, mainly visited by young locals, and conveniently close to Omonia metro station. And...because it had been quite warm the past few days, the rooftop swimming pool with the view on Acropolis was already open!...

When you go to Greece as a tourist you need a clean nice room to sleep. All the time you are going to be outside. This hotel gives you that! Internet could be much better! and the Breakfast Buffet could be more greek. The food is not bad and the girls at the reception are very nice and helpful.

Staying in Exarchia

Neighbourhood Profile
Exarchia
Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).
