I like hotel. It was very hotel. Butler was nice hotel. Man with directions was good. Also, the hotel tasted good. I would give it hotel stars in my country. The morning hotel was very good, when I returned at night I felt happy in hotel.

It's conveniently located in the city of Athens. Walking distance to business and stores. Room is comparable small but suits your need. The elevator inside is very European style, it has a door to open when arrived.

They are incredibly incompetent with one of the worst service I've ever seen. Staff is rude and completely unable to provide the most basic service. The hotel is OK, but I would not suggest you order any food: they forgot my room number so after 2 hours I called them. They told me it was my fault cause I did...

Set in a more rundown part of town, it is still very central and within walking distance of many great attractions and very close to the metro. The interior is a little tired but perfectly functional, and at the price and location it is great value indeed.

Polis Grand Hotel is located near the central "Omonoia Square" of Athens and a Metro Station. Its location enabled us to visit many interesting historical and archeological sights of the city center by foot and have access to many restaurants, cafe and bars. The hotel is elegant, the breakfast is good, and the personnel was very polite and friendly, ready...

Staying in Omonia

Neighbourhood Profile
Omonia
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
