Conveniently located - but watch your wallets at Omonia station - pickpockets are in full force and many, including us were robbed. Beds were very comfortable, AC worked great, and bathroom was very spacious. Yes the included breakfast is as good as everyone says -...More

We stayed 2 nights, and liked the location for walking to the Acropolis and other neighbourhoods. The rooftop bar/restaurant was the best feature of with an incredible view on the Acropolis, etc. - the food was good and staff very pleasant. The front desk staff...More

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed Athens, our Polis Roof Top Bar Restaurant and our cooking. All our staff share the same welcoming culture and this is something we are mostly upraised especially for our front...More
We first arrived at night, which turned us off because there isn't really anyone around. All you see is mostly graffiti and streets, so it wasn't a good first impression. This was furthered by the elevators. My sister is very claustrophobic, and immediately I can...More
A nice hotel about 15 min walk from the Plaka so location is ok. A pretty good view of the Parthenon from the rooftop. Rooms were clean although not huge but very good adjoining room options on each floor for families of 4. Breakfast was...More
About the only half-decent thing about the hotel is its location - convenient for sightseeing and transport links.
The room was very small and the tiny balcony was mostly taken up by the A/C unit - balcony wall seemed very low to me - although...More
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a
sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.

I would recommend the hop on-hop off bus tour... big red double deck buses that allow you to see all the major sights in about 1.5 hours, and you can decide to get off and on as you please. Not sure if there is one area to stay better than another... but easy access to metro is nice. must do Acropolis and Acropolis museum, national museum, Monastiraki area is good shopping and many many restaurants. there is a market area that looked interesting. so many things to do, hence why the bus tour for a couple days is good!
