This hotel does not give a damn about customers! I have booked a room here but I had to cancel it due to change plans of flights. It was stated that it was refundable! I have rang the hotel NUMEROUS TIMES and yet they have been giving me excuses "we are processing your refund". I email booking.com regarding with my...

A good hotel. Great location in Plaka, only a few minutes walk from Syntagma square. It is about a 10 minute walk to the Acropolis. Hotel is within easy walking distance of all major sights. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Hotel staff v friendly and helpful. Stayed Sept 2016.

I made a booking through booking.com with free cancellation. the full amount was deducted within twelve hours and are ignoring requests for a refund. do no book this property since they pay no attention whatsoever if you have a change of plans or have any other problems.

Very nice staff, extremely friendly. But otherwise we would like to stay somewhere a bit more comfortable hotel... Bed was only two mattress on top of each other and lousy pillows. Cold room even with A/C heating.

Booked 1 night with booking.com, with a pay later deal (more expensive than the pay now), as I possibly wanted to add another night after confirming flights. They charged my card instantly, and sent an email informing me that all bills are charged within 24hrs of booking. This is not stated on booking.com, and why have a more expensive 'pay...

Stayed at the Hotel Myrto in Athens in September 2016. It's a well maintained hotel with an extremely friendly and accommodating staff. I chose it as I was only staying overnight and it was at a very reasonable price. Rooms are small, but include free Wi-Fi, small mini-fridge, and TV -- all you need for a one night stay.

I've given the hotel a 5 rating because it is such good value for money. It doesn't claim to be a luxury hotel, but it excels at what it does - giving great accommodation in the very centre of Athens. The exterior of the hotel doesn't give the best first impression, however look past that as the bedrooms have been...

This is a nice little place right in the middle of the best of Athens. We had the top floor room with a good sized terrace and a view of the Acropolis. Room was well equipped if a little small and had a separate dressing room up a small ladder/stair. Staff were extremely helpful and conscientious, especially in that the...

Good for a quick stop over of 1 or 2 nights but i wouldn't recommend too much more. Location is great but the hotel is very basic. The staff at reception were however extremely helpful. The lift only fits a suitcase or two and no people so probably best to stay on a lower floor.

We stayed two nights July 19 and 20th of 2016 and this is a the most amazing budget hotel you will ever find in Athens. It is literately half a block from Plaka and at the most 10 minutes away from the Acropolis. The staff and front desk will drop whatever they are doing to help or simply answer a...

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
