We stayed at this hotel for 3 night recently. It is a budget hotel but don't be put off by the lack of charm at the lobby. The rooms are quiet, air conditioning works and the breakfast is also above average. Best of all, the location is perfect -- on the edge of the Plaka, walking distance from many things...

My family just came back from Greece. We spend 4 nights at this hotel with the family room. Hotel manager are really kind, he give us the suggestion and offer a bigger room for us (even though there is no Acropolis view). Other hotel's staff are kindness too. We recently had a wonderful trip to Greece which was enhanced by our stay at the Myrto Hotel. It is very well located - within walking distance of almost everything you wish to see in Athens. Plenty of restaurants close - an excellent little restaurant right next door. The staff were most welcoming. We initially booked for 2 nights but...

Little hotel near to almost everything: Parliament, Plaka, Akropolis, bus to the airport, museums, etc. The staff is kind and the breakfast is quite simple (continental) but not bad at all.

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
