I was so overjoyed and pleasantly surprised by the amazing view from our room that I actually cried tears of joy. The whole hotel was beautiful and luxurious in every way. The service was exceptional and all the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful in every way. After checking in to the hotel we were even given a complimentary...

The rooms are spacious, nicely furnished and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is also very good. Waffles and eggs are made to order and they offer coffee variations and fresh orange juice. The staff is very friendly and always very helpful. The location is very central and basically everything is within walking distance. The downsides are that...

If you are accustomed to US chain business hotels (Marriott, Hilton, etc), this rooms here by comparison are very basic like a dorm room with plain linens, and Ikea-type furnishings. However, O&B is very clean, a good value, and efficient for a 1-2 night stopover in Athens. The front desk, breakfast room, and housekeeping staff are incredibly friendly and eager...

O&B was our first hotel on our 6 week trip. It was a great start. The people were very helpfully friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Location was perfect with everything in walking distance. The room was very large and well appointed the only negative being the street noise at night came through

Upon arrival we were greeted with champagne, homemade chocolate and fresh fruit. This began the trend of impeccable service for the rest of our stay. The staff was over the top kind and helpful. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed, large bathroom and nice vanity mirror. The view of the Acropolis from our private spacious balcony was...

My girlfriend and I spent one night in Athens as a stopover and we were completely blown away with the O&B Hotel!! The location was perfect and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We were going to miss the breakfast included in our booking due to an early morning ferry, however the hotel provided us with a complimentary breakfast...

Not much you could fault with this hotel. Great service, value, breakfast, cleanliness and location. The rooms were small but very clean and well presented. The balcony was HUGE! Lots of cool restaurants and bars in the area, and about 200m from the main shopping area. Also only about 10-15min walk to the Acropolis. One thing I would mention is...

Lovely, clean, modern, stylish. Excellent welcome and service. Little tray of nibbles delivered to room upon arrival. Great food at bar and fantastic breakfast. It was my birthday when we stayed and they presented me with a cake at breakfast - a lovely detail and nice surprise. In a bit of a run down street but no more than 10...

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while in Athens and it was great. The staff was very attentive and friendly, the rooms and common areas were very clean, and the breakfast was very good. We ordered room service one night and the food was great, well worth it. My only complaint would be the beds, they are very,...

Disclosure: I don't speak Greek but I'm pretty sure the title means something good! :) That said, I can't find anything really negative about this hotel. You get what you pay for and then some: good price (about $175/night USD including taxes), excellent location (you can, literally, see the Acropolis from the place), great staff (friendly but not in a...

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighbourhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighbourhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
